NOBEL NOBEL NOBEL
I wanted to be optimistic about the talks but, well, here we are.
There was no chance in hell of North Korea giving up their nuclear weapons and becoming another Iraq or a Libya. Especially after they saw another country, Iran, have their nuclear deal pulled out from under them.
I was more optimistic in thinking "FFS, if he does ONE good thing while in office, let this be it because he's fucked everything else", and lo, he hath fucked it again.
hmm maybe you shouldn't have given him that "Rocket Man" Cd if you wanted to generate good will... I mean we're the US and the state department looks like it is being run by clowns now thanks to 2 years of political purges and hiring freezes.
I mean, it'd be ridiculously optimistic to think this could all be worked out after one meeting and maybe a few months of negotiations, regardless of who was president.
Man, when Trump gave Kim that CD i felt it was ironic. "Rocket Man " is a song about an astronaut reminiscing about his old life on Earth, with him saying that it would be a "long, long time" before he lived the life he once knew. The world itself is experiencing something akin to what is scene in "Rocket Man", where the world is changing so rapidly that the society your parents lived in is extremely different from the one you're living in right now. That may be a terrible comparison, but i hope i got my point across.
its not quite like that. Its really about a being a workaholic. the astronaut is headed to mars, and has to leave his family behind for a long time, and he's going to come back a different man because of his time away.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, woah. Back the fun-bus up: Trump gave Kim what?!
