PCGamer: The Witcher 4 should be all about Ciri, says Geralt's voice actor

obviously yeah
I mean, CDPR has already said Geralt’s story is done so no surprise
Tbh, we don't need another witcher game. W3 was Ciri's story just as much as it was Geralt's and it had a satisfying conclusion. I'd rather have a new witcher game be about something totally different.
I think Ciri is great and I wish we got to play her more in The Witcher 3, but I don't think there should be a fourth game.
I wouldn't mind a spin-off game in a new region and following a Witcher of another school. However, the story was wrapped up nicely enough that I also wouldn't mind if the Witcher series remains finished.
The Witcher 4 should be set in a digital future setting, preferably this century.
You know what, at that point just call it something that's more a setting description than a game title. Like oh I dunno, Cyberpunk 2077?
How about a witcher game where you make your own witcher? Then you just go around doing witcher things?
Witcher 76
I love Ciri but I feel she's had her arc complete through the books and games
Witcher Scrolls: Online
When cdpr bought the witcher license that's what they were originally going to do. They dropped the idea pretty quick for some reason.
Witchers are gone before TW1. One of the overarching themes of the trilogy is that witchers are dying out because the sorcerers that made them are gone and because they can't go after monsters anymore because they're not hiding in swamps or caves anymore, now they're hiding in castles behind legislation and bodyguards
Now that you mention it, I do want to see a game drop the central narrative. The more interesting parts of Skyrim were the guild storylines and those really could have used more improvement. In the witcher games, I found the political conspiracies more interesting than the wild hunt but the "A Deadly Plot" storyline clearly ran out of time and got cut short. Even in Dragon Age Origins, the politics was much more interesting than defeating the archdemon
I loved the Witcher 3, I think it really tied up things quite nicely. So I would be more than okay with the Witcher series being put to rest; end on a high note.
I'd be okay with spinoff or a remake/re imagining of 1st one but i feel like sequel would just ruin Witcher 3
except of course for all the fucktons monsters that are still hiding and swamps and caves that you go after in all the games
And the inter-dimensional hunters in the third that want to literally destroy the world
