Can we get a change to how thread links on the front page works?

It's a little annoying how if I see a thread I've read pop up on the front page because it's recently been posted in, if I click it and get sent to the first page of the thread instead of the most recent/where I read up to. It works differently if you go into the forum and click the rightmost column, so it'd be nice if it worked the same on the front page as well.
