A forum wide announcement feature should be added. (If there isn't one already)

On oldpunch we couldn't use the vBulletin announcement feature because it eventually broke and would destroy the forums when it was used (fun times had by all). Now that Garry is doing it all himself he should bring it back. It'd be good for getting community feedback, for warning people of bullshit (like if there's a hurricane or a freak snowstorm so people are aware of it), or even as a way for Garry to go "Hey you fucks, we've released a new game. Go buy it." at the top of every page.
It probably wouldn't be used a whole lot, and shouldn't be a high priority, but it's better to have a feature like that for if it is ever needed.
Definitely; I've already asked for this feature to be added.
I even went so far to suggest perhaps a marquee style text at the top where people could advertise stuff for coins, or post messages.
Sounds like a fun idea, just please make sure the words "rust" and "server" aren't allowed
