• Gun&ammo reballance?

Well... Those Rust guns are actually made of scrap, while ammo is sort of worthless. And as if I can still imgine a rusty savage making a waterpipe or a custom SMG, I do not picture it, how they elaborate ammo. I mean primers, cases and proper projectiles. Would it make sense if guns were actually 5-10 times cheaper in hqm's/mfrags and ammo was respectivelly more expensive, like using 1 hqm and an empty case component?
The system is broken. They base damage on the weapon, not the ammunition being used. The should take the ammunition range and damage then modify it by the weapon modifiers. Using a 12 gauge slug in a water pipe shotgun should quite often just blow up in your face... Using hand made shells in your SPAS12 will stop it from using the semi auto mode and you would have to switch to the pump. That's is if the handmade shell hasn't jammed your weapon or actually fires. 5.56 NATO rounds in an AK47??? Can only use 5.56 NATO ball in a sentry gun don't even try to use HV or explosive even though the AK47 you carry can fire all. 9mm Parabellum rounds used in a Python??? Please don't get me started on the need for magazines. No weapon jams. Then there is magical fire arrows that are automatically lit. Reloading a crossbow whilst running. Crossbows using arrows and not bolts. I have always said that a crafted rock should have better accuracy and do more damage than a found rock! I rest my case Your Honor.
gee willikers, its almost like Rust has no basis in realism in the slightest
Its funny because I shoot a Scientist in the face with a Pump Shottie using a slug it takes 2-3 hits! When using Buck Shot its 1 shot! Slugs have more velocity, higher penetrations, and more cavity damage!
