• How to make flexable, wood/bark-like skin for cosplay?
    1 replies, posted
I wanna do a cosplay of a Leshen/Woodland Spirit which is a monster from Witcher 3. They've got wooden bodies, and this seems like the hardest part of the cosplay to do; Skin that looks like authentic wood/bark, but would actually allow for movement (important especially around at knees, ankles, wrists and other joints). Problem is, I have never done anything cosplay related and I'm not sure how to get started on the skin. I'm able to go to the woods whenever I want really so collecting real wooden branches, bark, roots etc. is possible (and I won't mind wearing old bits of bark either), but I don't know if I should aim for fake barkskin made of latex or something similar instead. Anyone have any suggestions? Here's an image of a Leshen, in case you never played TW3: https://cdna.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/003/321/124/large/marcin-blaszczak-lesh-lp-s1.jpg?1472412301
