The blueprint mechanic is probably the best it ever has been, but honestly i think some items really need to be default blueprints that you can make at the start of the game instead of grinding for a waterpipe and praying you can get back to your base and research it, you should just be able to craft it off the bat, i think this would probably help solo players. but hey feel free to change my mind
You need to remember that there are no items that could be developed that would help solo players and not clans. Clans are a group of solo players. If you make it easier for solo players then clans getter a larger advantage.
Crafting is too easy. Too few components required, no real technology flow chart and no failure rate in making blueprints. If you die there is no lost knowledge. You can make an AK and repair one using chewing gum and snot.
So what's the answer/s?
I have always said that restricting food and fresh water in the game would be the way of reducing the size and the proliferation of clans. Right now it is too easy to get food and drinking water and the devs are making it easier. Boats allow you to travel great distances in a short period of time which gives even easier access to these essentials. No chance of food poisoning from eating that ham sandwich you find in the bin. No chance of someone pooing in your unsecured water catcher.
Lets not forget communicable diseases. The larger the number of players living together or in close proximity then the higher chance of disease spread. Disease that weakens or can even kill would be a deterrent.
But hey want do I know. Just looking forward to the new boats, skydiving, balloons, flying the chinook, submarines, shoulder fired nukes and the game destroying settlements filled with scientists, bandits and oil workers.
