The Dragon Prince, about two princes and an elf assassin teaming up on a quest.
If this isn't the opening, I'm going to be upset.

Hopefully it's better than Korra.
Korra was fun to watch, don't get me wrong, but it had at least a few issues.
Ooooh, this has me very interested, especially with that poster looking very nice in its artstyle.
Korra didn't know what it wanted to be. It didn't know if it wanted to be for kids or for people who watched the original when it came out, which lead to a weird mishmash
I think the creators wanted it to be more for people who watched the original but Nickelodeon wanted it to appeal to kids.
Also Korra was originally planned to be a Mini-series. But the channel pushed for a series. Hence the writing is all over the goddamn place.
So hopefully this means that these guys have full creative control on the project. Since im confident they can do something great if left to their own devices.
I was hoping they'd never write another series after the hot garbage that was korra
After Korra I don’t know if I can trust them. We’ll see tho when this releases
don't forget that one of main original writers is responsible for one of the worst episodes about avatar Wan, so I'm still cautious.
The creator didn't work on Korra, just last airbender
Korra season 1 was great because it was a self contained story. Then suddenly nickelodeon was like "well what about 3 more seasons like ATLA" and they just did it.
ATLA was better because it was more or less planned out. ALOK was not nearly as good because they were flying by the seat of their pants most of the time writing-wise, as well as consistently getting shafted by nickelodeon themselves
Had like a half hour conversation with my boss about Last Airbender and Legend of Korra today after hearing about this, mostly just talking about how weird and flawed Korra is and what we liked from Airbender.
I wonder what cool quirk this show is going to have. The Last Airbender and Korra had bending arts and animal hybrids, so I wonder if they'll do something like that with this show.
Korra was pretty good besides season 2
“The thing I take away from Futurama and The Last Airbender is that the audience is very, very smart,” Ehasz told Polygon in a 2017 interview about Wonderstorm’s plans. “All the details, nuance, and things you build into a story and characters? There may be people who don’t appreciate it, but there are so many out there who do and are paying attention. We’re spending all this time on this series and game making sure those details feel right, and that there are things to discover, and that things beneath the surface are worth it because there are tons of people out there who want and deserve that. We need to make something good enough for them.”
If they stick to their word here I think this series will turn out great.
Yep. TLA had an end goal. Aang was going to learn each element one at a time and eventually get strong enough to fight Ozai all the while igniting rebellion against the Fire Nation.
TLOK just had one villain/plot for each season, even though on paper the villains of seasons 1 and 2 seem like something that should have been a MUCH MUCH bigger deal than they ended up being. A DARK AVATAR seems like something that should have been the focus of the entire series instead of a one-off thing.
Honestly pretty excited for this, ATLA was great, and Korra had it's issues, but I absolutely loved the villians of the last 2 seasons of Korra, especially Zaheer . Korra was nowhere near as good as ATLA but I still found a lot to enjoy about it.
