I've got a feeling we're gonna meet Jesse and/or Walt by the end of the season. It'd be a good way to end the season depending on how the pace goes.
Isn't this supposed to have 6 seasons instead of 5? I think a season and a half should cover all of Breaking Bad pretty easily on his end considering he's only in it for 3 seasons and he's not around every episode.
Been watching Season 3 trying to get ready. It's so close, kinda disappointed this thread hasn't exploded with anticipation or something...
It’s probably because it’s coming out so late.
I wanted to revive the BB/BCS thread we had on the old forum, but it's broken? It says there are 71 pages in there, but you can't open any past 69.
In any case, really excited for the new season, the show is solid gold
Has there been any indication this would ever happen though?
Gilligan has said numerous times that he wants to see Walt or Jesse in BCS, and this season they've doubled down on that angle marketing wise - but nobody has said they'll show up this season

^ Stuff like this makes me think it'll happen.
They had a reunion with a bunch of photos and interviews
Unless there’s a time skip, I’m doubtful we’ll see them this season. They’re still in the early 2000s and Jimmy hasn’t moved into the outlet mall as Saul yet.
Which is nuts to me if we're only getting 6 seasons.
Dunno where I read that, though.
News to me.
might be fan speculation, since show started in 2002 (ish?) and BrBa started in 2008 and they’re assuming there’s no crossover
To be honest, I would be disappointed if this show just became “Here’s what Saul was doing in the background of Breaking Bad.” Jimmy’s story has been interesting enough and we don’t need it to become a Breaking Bad retread.
"It's your cross to bear"
Fucking cold, Jimmy.
What a great first episode.
I think it kind of broke something in his brain, learning that he's a lot more responsible than Hamlin is. His way of coping with it, of course, is complete denial, which obviously leaves him free to accept Hamlin's version of the events.
Great episode, tense scenes throughout and leaves me begging for more. That's what it should be and that's what it is
This show is so goddamn refreshing and I want Gilligan behind everything ever from now on. I wasn't sure for the first 3 seasons if I could hold it to Breaking Bad's standards, but after re-watching and then seeing this first episode, goddamn. Every single actor in this show is fucking magnificent. The funeral had me uneasy even though I grew to dislike Chuck due to showing his true colors with Jimmy , and once he threw that "cross to bear" line at Howard I threw the same look that Kim did.
Fuck me this is the best writing on TV.
Yeah one of the miracles of BCS is they figured out how to do a prequel series without it just leeching off the original
Holy shit, Kim laying into Howard... she most definitely had a point, but I think Howard is just clueless on a lot. Like how he'd showed he had good intentions before with Jimmy but Chuck had set the roadblock, and Howard took the fall so Jimmy wouldn't know it was his own brother. Howard really grew to become one of my favorite characters just because they succeeded in making me hate him, understanding him, and then empathizing with him.
And goddammit, Nacho... I really want him to get out of this clean. That's the best thing about this show and the whole BB universe. You can see the clear and present danger, but still not know if a character is going to get out safely by the skin of their teeth, or die in a ditch with an audience watching over them.
Judging by the “coming up in BCS” tags showing that silver Camaro getting its tires blown and shot up by the Cousins, things are looking pretty grim for him.
What's in the letter?!!
A: yet another barrage of insults at Jimmy;
B: Chuck admitting he was wrong about Jimmy being bad all along, only for Jimmy to read the letter after doing something horrible.
C. Directions to find his Major Tom karaoke tape.
Anyway, a couple of thoughts on Episode 2:
I was suddenly finding Arturo a really cool character that I wanted to see more of and then he died one scene later, bravo to the writers for pulling that off. It was great that Gus personally killed him, his rage was perfect.
Also, I have less sympathy for where Jimmy ends up given that he's screwing himself out of stable work. I get the feeling that we'll see the printer guy again, though I can't unsee him as Jack Kelly.

I could have swore Arturo was in BB, he looked so damn familiar.
Apparently the opening titles are gradually becoming more and more distorted each season, never noticed this
I think asphyxia by bagging with tied up limbs so all you can do is flop around impotently as you're slowly dying is the worst way to go I've seen so far in the Breaking Bad universe
I'm curious to see what was going on in Kim's head during that meeting.
Glad I'm not the only one.
Why did Kim go to the courthouse?
