Germans will be able to buy adult-themed e-books only between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00, under new rules.
The rules have applied to German cinemas showing adult films since 2002, but they are now being extended to cover books available on the internet. It follows a complaint that a
sexually explicit e-book titled Schlauchgeluste was too easy for children to obtain.
One book industry blogger said the decision, taken by the regulator Youth Protection Authority, was "just nuts". The German Publishers and Booksellers Association confirmed that
retailers were now considering ways to enforce the rules.
It has been suggested that they will have to start tracking the titles that count as "youth endangering" under German law, isolate them in a specific section and make them invisible
using filtering software.
But Jessica Sanger, from the legal team at the German Publishers and Booksellers Association, said: "A time lock doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to us as kids can find ways to
circumvent that. "A system that requires proof of age is harder to circumvent and that is the way we see things going." Booksellers face fines of 50,000 euros (£35,000) if they do not
comply with the rules.
The decision to change the rules was sparked by a transgender memoir called Schlauchgeluste (Pantyhose Cravings), which became the subject of legal action over its easy
availability in a bookseller's database.
nanny state
Finally the populace may rest easy
A HISTORIC moment in history
Its all uphill from here
Can't have their eyes and hands sullied with such filthy parchments of heresy afterall.
So are they going to start making it illegal to browse porn before 10 pm too? Because I'm pretty sure most kids entering puberty, German or otherwise, don't give a shit about written erotica.

So what? isn't that what freedom is all about
Germany should just have a separate, closed off area for adult films and novels. I remember when I was a child the local movie store had one. And if you're wondering how I knew that, it's because they put a giant, glittery curtain to "block" the room off. God knows no child is gonna wonder what lies beyond a giant fuck-off sized curtain with sparkles all over it...
So, in a nutshell:
Only available for purchase (in digital form) from 22.00 - 06.00

Good to see that Germany is protecting its citizens from the real sick filth on the internet...
It's amazingly stupid when some countries want to redesign the internet by fiat. You dumb fucks have no idea what you are talking about and you shouldn't be allowed to make decisions on this shit until you actually grasp it.

Is this normal.
it's funny how liberal germany tries to portray itself in media, what with their lack of censorship of nudity or expletives on TV - and yet they are still so vastly behind in social rights and privileges for citizens. it's Schrodeinger's Society, truly. both liberal and painfully conservative at the same time, depending on when you look

what the fuck?
really tired of european countries trying to impose more and more restrictions on the internet. laws that try to prevent child sex trafficking? yea go for it, persecute those who host that filth
but imposing arbitrary weird ass time restrictions to download a .pdf? yea fuck off
And they complain youth don't care about literature
Seems to me somebody got offended about the theme of the book and pulled the 'think of the children' card, German govt looked into it and figured there's old laws they can enforce, rather than going out of their way to make new rules
this is what every movie store not owned by a chain did in the US anyways
Achtung schweinhund! Du yu haff das Laiscense fur zat erotikabook?
between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00, under new rules.
How's that shit going to work when a lot of kids have smartphones that presumably aren't taken away by their parents during the night?
Meanwhile, digital file piracy has no time limitations.
It didn't work for movies, and if there's anything that can be relied on with this internet, it's that there is no fucking way you will ever stop porn traffic.
Why did you have to remind me this exists?
i swear, we need one of those >shadman type posts with someone breaking down in tears instead for shindol.
Who is Shindol? I looked up the book in question and it got good reviews
Wait, what? Is this real? The only thing I could find in german is from 2015? e-book-news.de » Späte Schlauchgelüste
he's the author
I know but is he particularly famous or infamous like Shadman? According to reviews the book is quite sad
i imagine he's well known enough for people to recognize his works.
Never heard of the fellow but here's exactly what you were looking for

Calling this story 'quite sad' is putting it very mildly.
The average cuckold (or Netorare) story is a sugarcoated sweet vanilla easy mode cakewalk compared to ShindoL's works. He (or she? no idea) has lifted dehumanization, regret, and sorrow to an entirely new level by fusing it together into this unholy abomination that has the ability to rip out your heart, shit inside the gaping cavity and leave you feel hideous for the following days if you aren't mentally prepared for it.
While Shadman's works are disgusting to some people because of the direct shock factor, ShindoL works on an entire different level that is much slower, but has the ability to disrupt you right into your core and question your existence.
The artwork is absolutely gorgeous though.
Only the last few pages of the book are canon in my opinion. The rest didn't happen.
It's quite sad in the same way that a slice of delicious cake is quite nice.
My morbid curiosity got the better of me one day and I read it. Anyone who jerks off to that is in dire need of therapy.
