Newly appointed health secretary Matt Hancock received £32,000 in donations from the chairman of a think tank which critics say is trying to “abolish the NHS”. After becoming an MP in 2010 Mr Hancock has received regular donations of between £2,000 and £4,000 from millionaire currency manager and Conservative Party donor Neil Record. Mr Record heads the board of free market group the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), a vocal critic of the current NHS model.
Wow, what a surprise!
Isn't that reason enough to force him out of his position?
Oh yeeeeeah, private healthcare works GREAT here. Just ask the thousands in America living in crippling debt.
Works great for the people profiting off of it
what an unexpected turn of events! (stop voting for these morons you gullible fucks)
Fittingly replacing the former Health Secretary who wrote a white paper on how to sink national trust in the NHS as a strategy to make people accept privatisation of it. What a bunch of fucking crooks.
Oh my god can we please get the Tories to fuck off? This comes as no shock, just a kick in the teeth
How is it a donation? It's a bribe.
Once again, stuff like this should be punishable with jailtime.
