I bought Rust from the previous Summer Sale. It worked fine with my Windows 8.1 laptop with i7 3537u, GT 740 and 8gb RAM. Played for 40-50+ hrs. And then i upgraded to Windows 10. And now all of a sudden i get this white screen every time i run Rust. The game didn't crashed or anything, i can still hear the music from the lobby menu, i'm just stuck with a white screen.
I tried running the RustClient.exe as an administrator, the game will load but it won't connect to any servers and will show an disconnected:eac:authentication timed out (1/2). But when i try running Rust.exe, i'll get stuck to that annoying white screen.
I tried the sugggested solutions posted on the internet like reinstalling/repairing EasyAntiCheat, reinstalling/updating drivers, Reinstalling the game, running as administrator, etc. But to no avail.
can anyone help me?
run the game through Steam
i always run it via Steam. i just tried the other options of running Rust.exe and RustClient.exe as admin and see if it will work.
Have you found a solution to this issue? I have the same issue since i upgraded to windows 10 as well
sadly, i haven't found any resolutions to this problem. somebody suggested that i have to reinstall my Windows but i wouldn't go that far. too much hassle just to play the game. all my games are working properly except for Rust
