I saw on shadow frags video that they don't really know why the jackhammer bugs out. don't know if the devs know when it does either, or maybe someone has already told them, but i found out that the moment you refile it in a work bench it stops collecting, hope it helps in anyway shape or form, a fresh jackhammer always works fine
yes! I had the same issue - collected 3 sulfure nodes - saw that none of it went into my inventory!!!
That was with a refilled Jackhammer!
yes, everyone i know is just throwing them away at the moment, but you can still use them, like i said it more for the info when it happens, so the devs might be able to pinpoint it a lot faster
it works when you repair it in repair bench
