Hi guys. I bought a new monitor yesterday and set her up using the displayport in my graphics card and it worked wonderfully. i went to turn my computer on this morning and it kept dying a couple of seconds after powering up.
the only thing that was different was i was now using the displayport rather than the hdmi so i unplugged the dp cable and lo and behold the fucker turned on. however when i plugged the dp cable back in i couldn't get a signal. i've plugged in a hdmi and it works fine, but i cant get my pc to output using the dp cable.
any ideas?
If this type of problem occurs then I will suggest you to directly replace the Monitor. I also faced this problem with my new Monitor screen and I consulted with Hotmail Customer Service. They couldn't give out any solutions to it and they indicated that as a fault one. So I immediately replaced it.
