May warns there could be 'no Brexit at all'
LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Theresa May has warned there may be “no Brexit at all” because of lawmakers’ attempts to undermine her plan to leave the European Union.
“My message to the country this weekend is simple: we need to keep our eyes on the prize,” May wrote in the Mail on Sunday newspaper. “If we don’t, we risk ending up with no Brexit at all.”
I think the title of this article is pretty clickbaity, but it's fairly notable, as I doubt somebody as keen on not saying the wrong thing as May would say something like this without 15 focus group tests and an alliterative soundbite.
Good. Brexit was a stupid idea anyway.
Oh nooooo, that'd be awfullll
Your sarcasm is somewhat ironic given your name, although I agree with what you're saying - I'd rather Brexit didn't happen and it was based on false pretences anyway.
absolutely tragic. makes me wanna pour out a cold one to mourn this extremely unfortunate loss
sooooo obstruct completely then?
petition to rename it from brexit to breaksit
Obstruct it like your fat mother obstructs the carvery.

That is good news that if a deal isn't solidified in time, they don't seem to intend to just let the government collapse and have the UK fall out of the EU by default.

"If you kids can't keep your hands to yourselves, they'll be no Brexit for anyone!"
*Farage Slap*
"That's it, back to the EU!"
Keep on obstructing, lads!
But they've gotten so far with Brexit that there should be no turning back now. Think of all the hard work and planning they did to ensure a successful Brexit. Like ____, or _______. And who can forget establishing a trade deal with _______. I mean, just last week I read in the tabloids that the Tories were moving on to the long awaited _________
Oh no, that really makes my blood boil. Really riggs my sails
If you get me.
From this article:
May also wrote in the Mail on Sunday article that Britain would take a
tough stance in its next round of negotiations with the EU.
From an article in the Telegraph:
Mr Bannon also gave details of the advice Mr Trump gave to Mrs May about how to get the best deal to take the UK out of the EU when she visited the White House in January last year. Referring to the president's advice to Mrs May to be “brutal” in Brexit nego
tiations, Mr Bannon said: “Trump gave her some pointers and pulled her off to the side and said, 'Hey if I was doing this here is how tough you have got to be because these guys are not going to let you go'."He gave her the précis [of his book 'The Art of the Deal'] which is 'ove
rshoot your target, be tough and get on with it - because if this drags on it is going to be bad'."Mr Bannon urged people who support Brexit to campaign for a clean break from the EU, saying: “I keep hearing that The Telegraph is getting thousands of letters a day, when they tr
aditionally get a couple of hundred. “I think letters are one thing, but I think you are really having to get empowered. People are going to have to really get up on it and let people know that we voted to leave and we demand to leave.”
Mr Bannon
warned that “the elites” which run the country were deliberating slowing
down the Brexit process to stop Britain leaving the European Union.
Is she taking Trump's advice after his visit?
I don't think she even wants to have brexit happen and judging by this glacial trainwreck shouldn't have been the one responsible. Her chequers plan basically accepts EU regulations for goods in order to have free movement. Only difference is that UK will no longer have a say about it. Apparently there's some labor mobility scheme to allow EU citizens access too.
oh noes.
What will happens.
And now this statement ha pissed off delusional hard brexiters back to UKIP now.
Plus new poll has come out to proved my point.

She knows leaving the EU is a bad idea but she doesn't want to lose the brexit voters.

This sounds like her attempt at an out, nobody wants brexit, not even the tories but if they were to cancel brexit they would lose the brexit voters, I.E the only thing keeping them in power (besides a few billion pounds and some Irish terrorists) this way, they get to cancel brexit but blame someone else... which is the most tory way of doing things ever, do the exact opposite of what you promised and somehow keep the support of the people you promised it to by lying and shifting blame.
So basically she's encouraging people to keep fighting it.
This guy wants it. His final comment, although very funny, is exactly why I hate politics, although I can't look away either.

If we're to believe the MPs, half of the Tory party do indeed want Brexit, but I think they're just doing it cynically for votes.
No deal here we come.
How can you advocate for that
how can you be taken seriously if you do
You admitted you don't care about Brexit, why are you okay with a country's economy totally imploding with global repercussions?
Boilrig has been very Poe's Law recently. Sgman at least attempts to justify his opinions in a cordial way, but Boilrig just says the most outrageous things whilst chilling on the other side of the world.
If she does she'll have been very badly advised.
Trump's bullying hasn't worked with China, The EU, NATO, Mexico, North Korea or any one with a sense of decency. And it definitely won't work here - how many times does the EU have to state that the four pillars are immutable?
Oh my god, yes, please. Please pull out of this mess.
If Brexit doesn't happen, then what am I to do with all my brexit-jokes?
