hey remember when there wasnt going to be a second general election
What the political climate like in the UK Right now? Is there a more left-leaning tendency like the US's "Blue Wave"? Are people favoring Lib dems or Labor for whenever the next election is, or are Conservatives pretty much safe?
Good, a second referendum would be pointless since the first was already nonbinding.
Literally half and half Labour/Conservative. Labour just passed the Tories for the first time since GE 2017 on the poll average. But it's worth noting that all Labour has to do to derail Brexit is achieve a net swing of about ten seats, making the DUP deal the Tories sold their soul for useless.
I can't help but keep thinking on how Scotland got utterly fucked after the referendum, the fact that they voted to remain part of the UK with a narrow margin (around 10%) mainly because of the fact that they would remain in the EU as part of the UK and now this happens to them. The worst part is that they can't really call for another independence referendum so recently after the last one, so they are basically screwed for the forseeable future.
Polls suggest Scotland would still vote against independence if a second referendum were held today
The only British equivalent for "Blue wave" is either Scottish Nationalist (in Scotland duh) and Labour's Corbyn populism (most of nation) to beat Conservative Party. So far ever since very recently with Conservative Party screwing themselves with their Brexit plan. This cause some them reason returning to UKIP. And in turn cause Labour Party "gained" as result. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/df/Opinion_polling_for_the_2022_UK_general_election.png
