I got this weird anomaly of a guitar last year, a Fender Squier Vintage Modified Bass VI. It's like a guitar in construction and pickups, but with a neck longer than a baritone guitar, and tuned E to E down an octave (so like a 4 string bass with 2 higher strings). It's a lot of fun to play, and quite versatile to use as either a bass or guitar.
I've been having fun covering some songs by Knower and Thundercat. Jazz-influenced weirdness that suits the Bass VI quite well.

The Thunderat covers got copyright strikes on Youtube so I uploaded them to Streamable instead:

They're a bit rough round the edges but I think you get the idea. Let me know what you think
You have a good taste in music. I only discovered KNOWER about a year ago, but Hanging On and The Government Knows are so great. I just think the chord choices, modulations and such make them a cut above most other people in their genre. You play really well. I've always liked the Hanging On bass line a great deal. Keep at it!
There were one or two places where I might have had some really minor complaints, but overall it was fantastic. Well done!
Exactly Dan! The way they write music just elevates the songs so much. The cool key changes, the sound design. Really inspiring stuff.
