• The Return of Chad Thunderbuyer: More Creation Club Mods [Loads of Images]

Because sequels are always good. While I had fun, I walked away feeling very let down the last time I let Chad Thunderbuyer out and about. Gimmicky, overpowered weapons, dumb armor and very, very minimal questing content made me call the whole venture in early. Because of this, I never got a chance to try what some are suggesting to be the true questing content in the creation club; captain cosmos and the tunnel snakes pack. I had always told myself that I would return when the CC had a bit more content, I hadn't intended to take Chad for another spin for quite awhile. But turns out, I was missing something last time. I hadn't installed the 'Solar Cannon Rifle.' Well that's all the motivation I need, so I'm doing this. This time, there's going to be a core difference. I'm not just throwing myself into the CC content to see what it would be like to a new player. Chad is seasoned now, well traveled in the wastes. Instead, I'm going to be tackling the two quests I passed up last time I played, as well as the new one for the solar cannon rifle. No more getting distracted collecting dogs and no more trekking back and forth across the entire wasteland. Well, hopefully. So with any luck, it's not anymore dry than the last run ended up being. I have three distinct goals to address, so let's try and stay focused. Without further delay, let's see what Chad Thunderbuyer has been up to since we last saw him... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/176e6072-1333-4fb7-96ac-2b24e3fc922b/20180717180244_1.jpg Modifying weapons... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/13d329f7-a52f-429c-9928-7d6630a71309/20180717175438_1.jpg ...armor... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/063e6790-6620-4f64-bdf0-f6a86e21f467/20180717180657_1.jpg ...catching up with the locals... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/d5d3236e-a759-4b4d-82d1-f0f4b34fd85e/20180717151549_1.jpg ...and of course, tending to his many, many dogs. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/1f161343-fe15-45a1-a145-77cf0b14b268/20180717160123_1.jpg So not much, really. But I'm all kitted up now, equipped head-to-toe with not just mostly overpowered microtransaction weaponry and armor, but modified overpowered microtransaction weaponry and armor. I've modded new attachments for most of the weapons and armor I've accumulated, save for the energy weapons. I probably don't need to worry about making them anymore powerful. Now enough fucking around, let's get into these quests. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/8144870c-bfd7-4cc8-8a1f-349d90efccf5/20180717161012_1.jpg I'm going to tackle the solar rifle one first, just to build up the hype for captain cosmos and the tunnel snakes gear and hold on a minute the South Boston Military Checkpoint?! That's where I got the stealth armor! You lazy buggers, you can''t put two CC quests in the same location. For shame. Oh well, time to double back. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/d1d1cda5-7138-4507-875a-5fd01761e6f9/20180717161249_1.jpg Ah, memories. Don't mind the dogs. At the very least the start of this quest isn't in the bunker itself, rather in a small capsule across the road. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/6fdbb98d-6564-4e83-bb88-27c5b6421816/20180717161311_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/3c0365ea-68b4-4e87-8e6c-0d91d4560429/20180717161347_1.jpg Another dead body with another note. This is very similar to the quest for the anti material rifle from last time, and that's the quest that ultimately bored me into stopping. Let's hope this one is a bit more involved. To save posting a bunch of pictures of notes (seemingly the vast majority of the CC content), I'll explain the premise: Sarge, some random gunner, has stashed a bunch of loot, including our coveted solar rifle, somewhere nearby. We need to find out where. Since Sarge is apparently a moron, he needed to write himself a bunch of notes with clues on where to find it. Our poor dead friend Jack holds the first one, and also a story of his own. The creatively named gunners Jack, Deuce (lol), Queen and Ace are all privy to this loot stash, and plan on tracking down the notes, killing eachother off one-by-one, and claiming it for themselves. Yawn. Let's get this over with. Our first clue takes us to a nearby Red Rocket, where a strange bell system has been wired up to a wall safe. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/a4a77867-ef44-4a5f-9842-071736fa6a0d/20180717161454_1.jpg The first clue note said I needed to play the Queen's song on the bell, and if one ever needs to remember the song, you simply have to refer to the tattoo on Queen's face and 'count the leaves'. Queen is conveniently laying dead in the corner. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/415aa48b-7f2c-4ee6-8059-5edcbf1cd61b/20180717161647_1.jpg ENHANCE. So dumb old me actually tried ringing the bell thirteen times, not thinking to literally count the leaves on the tattoo. After ringing the bell four times, the wall safe opens, revealing the next clue. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/79d36a6d-8055-4bb9-9826-f31604abb25d/20180717162320_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/9b5e54fc-c40e-449a-9a6d-8c09d9221dda/20180717161709_1.jpg You can also skip this portion of the quest by interacting with a nearby fuse box using a measly 5 intelligence. Chad Thunderbuyer, quite naturally, has very low intelligence. The next clue brought me literally just outside to another dead body, this time of our dear friend Ace. This clue instructed me to look upon a nearby billboard and count the number of rockets flying, craters on the moon, and stars in the sky. This would give me the code to a safe hidden in a house painted red. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/efae6f38-970c-4c8a-a8ac-60aa66d98951/20180717162634_1.jpg This was kind of clever, in one of those "post apocalyptic people don't know what billboards actually mean" sort of way. So now i have the code: 536. And that 'house painted red?' https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/2a1c992b-1329-4fd1-b879-cd508a0ae122/20180717162635_1.jpg Another safe, another clue. We're pointed to under a nearby bridge, where a bus holds the final safe, and our precious reward. The story is getting real now. Ace, the last dead dude we found, helped Deuce (fucking lol) kill the previously seen Queen and Jack with the intent on splitting this reward between the two of them. Seeing as Ace is dead, we can only assume Deuce (it means poop) betrayed Ace and is the last one standing. Well, off we go. Before that, we should note the last clue we're given. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/2b39a9cd-9639-4fa9-a086-5a53bd031969/20180717162657_1.jpg 'As simple as lining up the cards.' https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/123ee2c1-e21d-45eb-87c7-1a919e6b6994/20180717162749_1.jpg I took this traveling shot, but to be honest I think it serves more of an anti-ENB poster child than anything else. Still, country roooads, take me home... Anyway, guess who I found just sort of, squatting by the underpass, doing absolutely nothing at all? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/8fc0012b-8470-4a20-b744-446586e34238/20180717162826_1.jpg Our good friend, Poop! Boy, it sure is a good thing that this entire time he's been just sitting here, right next to the safe. Poop was pretty challenging, as is most of the CC enemies. I couldn't put him down with my anti material rifle, so I had to resort to an old gag. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/3ca74025-52f0-4b8e-8fb9-88d2e3179ba6/20180717162931_1.jpg Heh. Still pretty great though. Now, to figure out that last clue. 'Simple as lining up the cards.' There were no cards stacked up anywhere, or a billboard to look at, just... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/1e853956-4384-46af-8486-cf544193da4e/20180717163215_1.jpg Ooooh of course, that's why they had stupid names! So that's 1, 2, uh...11...12? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/d72131ce-2ad7-4758-8bca-dac7635db253/20180717163227_1.jpg What kind of a safe is this? Four digit code to open? The code is 121112. If I didn't pirate these mods I'd be demanding my money back tbh. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/f4fe77f8-d4d3-46d5-a874-f2f5c82d6848/20180717163231_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/8bdcfaaa-c2a8-4b25-ad34-ab9bcadb599b/20180717163239_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/232f7cc2-cc47-4c37-84a0-2e7f32afe313/20180717163247_1.jpg And here it is, the legendary solar cannon rifle. You may notice that it has the 'exterminator' effect applied to it. This links to the paper-thin conclusion to this story, where you find out that Sarge really hated bugs. Yup. So when he found this pre-war piece of experimental technology, he used it to kill bugs. Also, the loot that these four gunners intended to split is basically trash aside from this weapon. Poop was right to try and take it all for himself. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/64b9edb8-f1b8-4541-8c65-c60a52d965e3/20180717163349_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/af9a471c-71cd-4aac-8e8b-1663c783988a/20180717163352_1.jpg Hey. Cool. I actually dig this weapon. It has a cool effect that isn't garish or over-the-top, it uses a vanilla ammo source, so, yknow, I can actually use it, and it has a smaller frame than the other two energy weapons I've come across. I'm certainly not going to tell you to pay for it, but I will say that I'm probably going to use it among my actual mod load list. But that is our first quest done! One third the way there, guys. We hanging in there? That quest wasn't great, it was only a slight step above the AMR quest. Solving the puzzles was sort of fun, though they were all relatively simple. This entire experience took me like, twenty minutes. I guess that's all you should really ask for when you're just buying the gun itself, but this entire quest took place in the overworld. I've been told the next two quests take place within their own areas, so hopefully they're more interesting to read along. Next on the agenda, grabbing that rad tunnel snake gear. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/216a5082-d57d-4110-a0ee-8746563e4cef/20180717163421_1.jpg I've actually started this one and the captain cosmos quest already, having bumped into their quest locations on my previous treks. The faint radio signal plays nothing for me, I'm not sure if it's broken or what. Either way, the origin of the faint radio signal is just west of Diamond City. Off we go. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/847bccb9-fd5f-439c-b87b-2e10c1e8692b/20180717163803_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/ba73ba4b-90d3-42be-a8bb-e5ef5f3ba2f3/20180717163807_1.jpg Heh. Have you ever seen 6 dogs all mauling 2 severely malnourished strays? Now I have. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/b9760bec-fb58-4e19-8815-8ae8584b42ac/20180717191816_1.jpg I won't bore you with all that though. It didn't take me long to arrive at the source of this radio signal - Fens Way Station. Not an original location yet, so let's hold our breath. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/66364163-3481-4aae-8aae-6ac67590c476/20180717191952_1.jpg Just as an un-CC related sidenote - I have so many companions going at the moment that this is where I ended up upon entering the door. Our first dedicated dungeon. It looks pretty good, too. I won't take a screenshot of every nook and cranny, but it's a well-designed area, full of ghouls and radroaches to fight. That, and... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/0ac93b51-4a6b-483f-bf30-d4cdb31324fe/20180717192408_1.jpg Our first set of tunnel snakes gear! This dead ghoul was just sitting around, so you know what that means? There's more to this quest than the gear! Woo! Also, we have some rad cross-CC content going on here as the majority of the corpses have asXas's homdemade shotgun. Y'know, this one doesn't. But you'll see it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/a5b992cd-44e6-48b3-9eb7-0c045ec7a88a/20180717192455_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/0e9ad376-b753-46a6-b25b-77267a46161a/20180717192521_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/56b6e001-2293-432c-b3d4-cf321495794c/20180717192529_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/f4af6885-ad8c-4d98-ac2d-ca9951fa788b/20180717192605_1.jpg So I peeled that vault suit and leather jacket combo off that rotting ghoul corpse and suited up for the rest of the dungeon. Came across some more dead tunnel snakes, shot some ghouls, and even got my hands on quite a few classic 10mm pistols. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/bca1d213-13e7-4cc4-ae8c-8ddd96aaefee/20180717192805_1.jpg It got me wondering as to what the tunnel snakes were doing here. This was more than just a crate with some armor in it, these were the actual tunnel snakes, it seemed. Were they the very same from DC? Why are they all ghouls, and dead? Luckily, a nearby terminal has all the answers we need. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/c1996602-b496-4bd6-b006-6fd4cad39c08/20180717192651_1.jpg It's our main man, Wally Mack! From Fallout 3! Hundreds of miles from home, I don't blame the other guys for not believing him. That's quite a coincidental feat! https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/a11df650-cdbf-4756-8039-cc4e121efa27/20180717192720_1.jpg Oh no! Not our precious, innocent Wally. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/a1da8977-49a4-4bbf-bec1-451e8901aaa8/InnocentWally.JPG I joke, but this was actually kind of cool to come across when I wasn't expecting it. The terminal details how the tunnel snakes set up in this abandoned part of the subway, took a gunner hostage, and subsequently got mad irradiated by some nearby leaking radiation. Now it's up to us to track down Wally Mack, and uncover the fate of one of the most beloved characters from Fallout 3. For once, they didn't give us a quest marker. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/5daabbbe-b4dd-4c8f-a026-9928045b9ae7/20180717192844_1.jpg Pressing deeper into the subway, passing through all sorts of maintenance tunnels and broken walls, I come across one of Fallout 4's classic scares... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/c9e85bce-37e0-4115-ada3-8d23b8764146/20180717192918_1.jpg ...and Wally himself! Git' em! Good dogs. These are good dogs. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/9966b932-0aae-4aec-990c-460ad75c56fa/20180717193005_1.jpg And so ends the impressively-long lasting gang that was the tunnel snakes. They're a resilient bunch, I must say. Wally's corpse had some decent loot, such as a legendary classic 10mm, as well as a key to his personal trunk. I cleared out the rest of the room with my CC-Dog Squad™ and mopped up some more loot. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/e2abcb45-acee-4821-99c7-e48bbc778f8b/20180717193246_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/4dc5ea5f-862d-4f3f-a154-7d645f741733/20180717193157_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/d405f8d3-86fc-45f4-bded-646852d3433f/20180717193353_1.jpg And Wally's personal locker. I felt a tinge of nostalgia when I saw the baseball bat and cap. I thought 'aww, it's Wally's old baseball cap from when he was a kid, how sweet." Then I remembered Wally didn't wear a baseball cap and I was thinking of somebody else. So apart from the extra fusion cores, this end-dungeon loot chest left me with a lot of questions. Questions like, is this canon? https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/ab7b081d-d25b-4588-a372-da935e0b2f44/20180717193441_1.jpg Good night, sweet prince. You deserved better than to be irradiated, turned into an immortal zombie, then torn apart by dogs. Probably. There we go. Two quests down, one more left! I hope I haven't lost too many of you by now, because I saved what I'm baselessly assuming to be the best for last. Captain cosmos is up next, ladies and gentlemen! The tunnel snakes was, as everyone said in the last thread, much better than what the CC had previously offered. The dungeon, though very simple and short, looked nice, and had all the elements Beth typically throws in there - lots of loot, environmental storytelling, shortcuts for savvy players, etc. The whole ride still only took me about 20 minutes, but felt it was actually a worth while experience unlike the other stuff. Also, the classic 10mm is probably my favorite weapon so far. I would actually recommend adding this one to your mod list. Not buying it. Adding it. Now, before we move on, I'll need everyones fashion opinion. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/f4b6c724-e962-488e-9b06-e31c77af2bb9/20180717202133_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/b8a8cdbb-5d74-49a5-983f-a7bf7aa3758e/20180717202032_1.jpg Which outfit should Chad go with? Should I switch to the tunnel snakes outfit, as tribute to the Mack Attack? Or do I retain Chad's classic brand loyalty? You decide! In the meantime, I'm keeping Chad pink. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/533a0254-4961-461e-a877-3f86b1c99464/20180717202900_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/a66fa742-6761-4c08-8109-d570fe53e9af/20180717202933_1.jpg So as with the tunnel snakes, I had actually bumped into the start of the captain cosmos last time I played. Near the Super Duper Mart, one can find the holotape seen above stashed in a wrecked captain cosmos delivery crate, as well as a key. No captain cosmos loot found there, unfortunately. We are pointed to a TV studio located within Hub 360. This quest also includes several "unmarked" locations attached to it, but after researching it, I don't believe I'll be visiting those. So since we already have the quest, lets be on our merry way! Along the way I decided to use the last of my BFG ammo on Swan. I'll find some more eventually, I'm sure, but as it stands the stuff is pretty damn rare. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/ee0f9348-652e-4f74-903b-af799a642f0e/20180717203710_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/89853a2e-9e44-4e9e-9db5-9fb3120c0650/20180717203722_1.jpg It took exactly five shots. Nice! Anyway my trip over to Hub 360 was fairly uneventful, so here's the door shot. We're about to enter another area you would theoretically pay actual money for, guys! https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/ffa778b1-3bd4-4f21-bede-4976f193044f/20180717204126_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/755e4129-e21b-4811-b921-1219a66b5cb5/20180717204147_1.jpg Wow, this place looks pretty nice. As garish as the Nuka Cola cafe was in the last thread, it had a really consistent and well maintained Nuka Cola theme. It made me wish the CC offered more content like that, and I have to say, this TV studio gives me that vibe. It's full of neat little captain cosmos trinkets, has really well-placed lighting and overall is one of those well designed areas that really feels like it could actually exist if Fallout were reality. The orange machine you can see quite conveniently lit up is the Reclamation Machine, or something. It works like the Sierra Madre vending machines from New Vegas, a way to replenish the loot found in this mini-dungeon for extended playthroughs. It's actually pretty neat and I believe it should be a staple of all creation club mods that utilize these mini-dungeons. We won't look at that for now though. Wouldn't want to spoil any surprises. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/061a318c-f9d1-4157-a27d-57a1183caa4b/20180717204257_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/ac380b58-be40-432f-bfd5-936d6de093d1/20180717205254_1.jpg As mentioned above, the area is really fun to explore. There's a screenshot of one of the cute figurines you can find, as well as one of Fallout 4's most coveted items of junk: the unrusted tin can. It contains aluminum. This place is full of it. Pay to win! https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/0184d1e4-180e-4115-b6f0-cd055bcb4e90/20180717205327_1.jpg This place is full of ghouls and radroaches. Here's a named ghoul, relating to the lore behind this place. I won't be covering the lore added in this mod as extensively as I did the previous two, because I simply do not wish to. RIP Johnny Morton. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/6c7f0753-9dd6-4a25-8168-006ba6ee8314/20180717205348_1.jpg Hey hey, lookie here. Our weapon for this quest, the Cryo Cosmic Cannon Rifle. Sounds rad. Let's fire it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/0fd7e729-b04d-4fcb-9a5d-1ed7c0fcf217/20180717205421_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/065a1b19-7840-42ff-a906-9676f7ea9e40/20180717205425_1.jpg Oh weak. It's a reskinned Cryolator that uses fusion cells as ammo. Biiiig ol' let down, and unlike the previous two experiences, probably too much to give to a theoretical new player fresh out of the vault. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/1e62ae8b-18ab-408e-886f-727ee95c4e6e/20180717205701_1.jpg Get out of there, doggo. That's not a safe place to be. Your snout will get cold. Some more dead ghouls later, and I unceremoniously came across my next prize: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/b37fea99-395a-474a-931a-78485bc85b2a/20180717205736_1.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/7a8a8bbf-4873-40dd-b9d0-f2b9bc4e4df2/20180717205741_1.jpg Cool hey wait a minute, increases jump height? Is there...is there any other armor in vanilla Fallout 4 that does this? Have you seen what jet does to the player's jump height as it is, Beth? Prevents fall damage as well?! This is not a piece of armor to potentially give the player right out of the gate, no matter how gimmicky it is. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/b597878e-a3ba-46d9-8191-e6813e93b2a1/20180717205840_1.jpg Ech. That looks awful. Not in a Chad Thunderbuyer type of awful either. This is just bad. Along the way I grabbed a fair few ID cards for this television studio, and plopped them into a nearby reader. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/a03eafb3-b26e-479d-b64b-7b410d1344a2/20180717210336_1.jpg I didn't get it in the screenshot, but this had a card swiping animation. Stepping it up, CC mods. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/12829f5f-f883-4151-8ec6-d995d66ab5e5/20180717210408_1.jpg My, my. There it is. That is one goofy looking piece of power armor. Cool looking area, too. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/1465ef2a-0860-42f4-9c65-0cb6e10b27d2/20180717210419_1.jpg Oh hey Rod. I guess this is the boss of this quest, I probably should have been paying attention to the lore. You can guess how this fight went. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/110e60ce-571f-4375-8229-32de51755f55/20180717210426_1.jpg Much like the last boss battle with a glowing ghoul went. Sure, my dogs piled onto him and rendered the fight ez pz, but even without my dog army, using glowing ghouls as bosses is lazy. Stop doin' that. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/9fdb9044-985d-41d2-8f92-0bdcb2a9d7a1/20180717210443_1.jpg Alright, rad, let's get into this power armor. I have to say, I really should have included this quest in my last post. This really does break the shit out of player progression, and, well: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/81535d53-74d4-4659-a92a-1222216adbd8/20180717210508_1.jpg Yeah. They give you a jetpack with this power armor. So let's be real here: This is too much. Fallout 4 is a single player game, so you can mod it however you want - but this is overpowered "pay to win" garbage in my personal opinion. This is not curated, balanced content. This is not worth the money in any way. The armors and weapons all look nice, sure, you're paying for quality there. But this was not a hard quest by any means, and the rewards are insane: A reskin of an end-game gun literally locked behind the hardest tier of lock, a full-body version of the freefall boots, armor that may not even be intended to be accessible, and the jetpack. The jetpack is thoroughly an end-game addition, to craft it requires high level perks or to progress significantly into the BoS plotline. There's a reason for this, the jetpack actually basically fucking breaks Fallout 4 in every way. Quest design becomes piss easy, as does combat, and travel, and everything else. You can even very very easily sequence break using this thing. You don't ever need to use any other type of armor once you secure this power armor, it's stats are irrelevant. Also, they give you two. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/9a50cfa8-5e0b-48e7-9992-0c8019b6f15d/20180717210800_1.jpg Hah. If I did a lick of research, my first thread where I actually wanted to breaks the game's progression would be very short. Once you leave the television studio, the quest is completed. No other fanfare, no real climax like the legendary battle with No-Slacks Mack. You walk up some stairs and leave. So that's it. Three out of three. We're done. It's time for Chad to return home, and rest. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/7e74eae7-c267-4e04-a71a-07193999dc41/20180717220851_1.jpg So we're at the end of another creation club adventure. This one ended up being much more thorough, much longer than I was intending. While I originally intended to just summarize the remaining two quests I missed and add it to the last thread, the addition of the solar rifle and frankly, the higher-than-anticipated quality of some of the content I was exploring compelled me to make a proper sequel thread. For those who made it, and care about my opinion on any of this: The solar rifle as a weapon is really cool, it's quest was pretty boring. The tunnel snakes was just a rad experience all up, and gave us the absolutely canon ending to a beloved character from Fallout 3. Captain Cosmos, despite receiving the most praise in the last thread, let me down in the end. It's quest wasn't as engaging as the one attached to the tunnel snakes, and it's gear was stupidly broken. Like, I don't mind you guys selling stupidly broken gear for chumps who can't mod it in themselves, but at least gate it behind a level cap, or some sort of significantly harder quest. The captain cosmos quest was a breeze. Anyway - did you guys know Newpunch gives you an overall percentage of how much more you can post when you've made a colossal shitpost like I just have? You learn something new every day. I am at 63% at the moment. Chad is going to rest again, this time for much longer than ten days. If the adventures of Chad Thunderbuyer is something you guys actually enjoy, I'll whip up another one of these after a few more waves of CC content. I'll admit this sort of "traditional forum lets play" is a bit of an antiquated format, and a bit dry to boot, but I had a lot of fun making these two. Now, let me cap this off with what I'm sure a lot of you were hoping to see. The Dog Squad in action. Enjoy. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/42fd538d-d248-4ffb-86a7-0ff804ff53e2/vlc-record-2018-07-17-22h52m43s-Replay_2018.07.17-22.50.mp4-.mp4 https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/267a5e63-34a0-492e-84dc-59941564cf16/vlc-record-2018-07-17-22h57m47s-Replay_2018.07.17-22.55.mp4-.mp4 https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/9b9cd69a-7a18-419f-8c48-b9088996c6ad/vlc-record-2018-07-17-23h00m29s-Replay_2018.07.17-22.59.mp4-.mp4 https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/185499/bd3084b0-6adc-44ef-8fff-4da057873154/vlc-record-2018-07-18-00h30m10s-vlc-record-2018-07-18-00h29m48s-Replay_2018.07.18-00.28.mp4-.mp4-.mp4 No, the creation club still isn't worth it.
Creation Club reminds me of all the Oblivion dlc.
Didn't realise that the Tunnel Snakes jacket had the old version of jumpsuit underneath. Neat, I actually prefer the denim overall look to the spandex
Probably got more entertainment out of this thread then I would actually playing those mods
I wonder why the Tunnel Snakes outfit has one horizontal yellow line for the vaultsuit. Weird. Also: Deuce: Weergh!
