No more tariffs on your dakis for EU users, time to celebrate
i'm ordering so many fucking hentai collections
Allow me to fix this for you:
Good. If Trump wants to throw temper-tantrums over trade then it's time the world starts a new trade network that doesn't include Trump.
So if I want to buy gentlemens special interest magazines, I wouldn't have to pay import tax?
Lucky! If only I could get my boobie anime figs Gundam plastic model kits import tax free...
Sweet, that'll be handy for the next couple of months
You could turn this into an argument for a new referendum. The terms and conditions of the EU are different now than they were before.
Is this where we get into the closed-circle argument of "we didn't vote for him!" vs "if you didn't want him, you should have fixed your system!" Because we can absolutely do that. As far as the world is concerned, America loves the idea of a tradewar as evident by its actions and the will of the people as enacted by trump, the elected representative of the people. I mean, that's what your established democracy says at least.
Wrong.
It wasn't a majority vote, technically
Not for him, at least. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the republicans have normally-gotten majorities in the houses.
Good thing we left the EU so we could trade with the rest of the world
Only goes into effect in 2019, so you're buggered either way :c
The holy prophet from Wetherspoons on high Nigel Farage knew the end times were coming. He knew he could stop the tidal wave of anime and prevent us from seeing the devils alphabet.
Blessed are the warm flat pints, blessed are the pork pies. Farage our saviour.
I guess i didn't make it sarcastic enough to be a clear message about fixing the American voting system...
Well. Tough shit then. He's unfortunately still the international representative and enactor of what is, as far as the international stage is concerned, the will of the American people. If you feel he misrepresents you, you might want to look into which of several points him representing you became possible. I know Reddit loves talking about russian bots and collusion. But the shameful fact is that Gerrymandering and how votes are totaled to weigh states differently is just minblowingly dumb. just count each individual person's vote and get the actual results. It's not hard, just needlessly convoluted to untangle the current mess and implement this instead.
Now let Japan join the EU next.
As a student of International economics this gets me hard
I'm so sorry for your you
my you is doing pretty well
This EU seems pretty good, we should join after we finish this Brexit business, wait...
Something like 97% of Japanese tariffs on EU imports will be axed, i'd imagine a similar amount vice versa too.
Does this mean you can import JDM Vehicles cheaper now?
Not entirely sure. One of the main parts of the agreement that means tariffs on Japanese cars gets axed is the normalisation of legislation surrounding them between the two parties, not sure what that means for existing cars. That being said, the aforementioned normalisation occurred somewhere around 2015. This has a whole bunch of info about it, tho mainly from the perspective of benefits to EU companies and stuff: http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/in-focus/eu-japan-economic-partnership-agreement/
"The deal eliminates about 99 percent of the tariffs on Japanese goods to the EU, but remaining at around 94 percent for European imports into Japan for now and rising to 99 percent over the years. The difference is due to exceptions such as rice, a product that's culturally and politically sensitive and has been protected for decades in Japan."
