• Helk should try only allowing 1 person to authorize on a tool cupboard and only

allow that 1 person to open / close doors. So ... groups, clans and zergs have become the meta. It's a problem. Solos never raid clan bases but clans raid all solo bases in their area. It's a survival game, roaming with a group should be the only advantage of grouping naturally, currently this isn't the case there's multiple benefits of grouping it's almost promoted and it creates a serious unbalance. This suggestion would make clans and groups each build their own base, like a village. This is how it should be. Grouping should just be a bunch of solo players that either find each other in game or agree to meet up on a server. This suggestion would work well with wipeless (which is planned for this year) when wipeless happens the biggest zerg will control the whole server, on official it could be 100+ people. These zergs or zerg will build a huge base that will probably be unraidedable considering the numbers and time they have to build it. With this suggestion it helps stop groups becoming too powerful and makes it so at least a few of their bases could be raided. It's just a suggestion about trying something new. I know that if you're in a group you won't agree with this but try not just thinking about yourself and think about the community and game in general. It's not just your fault though the game does promote grouping, it's up to Helk at the end of the day. What's the harm in trying this? Here's the reddit post, downvoted as expected but what do you guys think of this idea? https://www.reddit.com/r/playrust/comments/8zlpan/unpopular_opinion_helk_should_try_only_allowing_1/
You could develop an Oxide plugin and host a server running it.
How would doing what you suggested/ignoring this issue help anything? How about people discuss the issue instead of trying to steer him in the wrong direction and ignoring what his post is even about?
The suggestion is for vanilla Rust. Not modded. Thanks for the info though.
With everything they have recently added to rust, i highly doubt that they would even consider adding this.
A good idea!
How about you just remove the code lock item and keep the key lock in then? Its still stupid thinking anyways. People want to play with their friends...But it'd be way easier that way anyways.
I understand, but how many people you think play this game with their real life friends? Most groups are randoms you find on forums to play with you so you can "wreck noobs". Either way, I do think this game is so unbalanced right now due to them promoting the use of big groups/zergs.
And that wisdom comes from someone who no longer plays the game and will allegedly resume playing on Thursday. Anyone have a pinch of salt ?
@Thraag1 I keep up with the game pretty well. You don't know what I do in my time. You sound pretty salty dude.
I can only go on your own statements made on these forums, The way you keep up is by watching youtube, Its like saying you know all about catching fish because you watch fishing shows on tv, Or you can build a house because you watch "My dream home" on tv.
I have 5,000 hrs in game and read every update/change they make. I know this game like the back of my hand dude.
I have 16000+ hours and like to think I can learn something new every day, And reading update changelogs doesnt mean anything unless you actually play, DUDE
I agree ,I only have 4976 hours up so far, and believe I have a lot more to learn, But not from Youtube
I have a group of like 10 friends that mostly play casually, and we totally already do the village idea. Everyone wants their own base anyways. So we each build one, then wall em off individually, then connect the walls. It's actually much stronger than a single clan base.
