Same here. I wanted to play with my friends when they said everyone can play it free for a month using the Xbox Pass thing, but couldn't get either in my region.
Cautious optimism: The game
Pretty much all the content they've added post release has been short term gains.
Like every addition is still in the game, however their progression purpose is pretty limited to two weeks after it's been added.
Not really even progression, since progression in this game is flat. Everything is just for money/cosmetics. The entire leveling system is still just the three factions.
So far every update is just adding commendations for the themed content, of which the other factions do have their commendation to track statistics.
The beneficial rewards you get from commendations in the updates are only given out within that two week window. Then they're gone forever and the content is practically useless. Apart from enemies which try to mix up gameplay a bit.
The next content on the tracklist after this adds another map to the game, so probably we'll see something worthwhile there, and to which they've had a lot more time to consider gameplay elements, otherwise this one just feels more of the same
The campaign is apparently time limited. Only three weeks long.
I know a lot of people are jaded, but from the perspective of someone who hasn't touched the game (me, mostly cause it's for windows 10 only) it's a cool trailer.
