Black Madonna in GTA V, now I have seen everything. God this could be so cool but of course it's Online, fuck that.
Buy sharkcards fellow gamer
We could've had something like the episodes in terms of game expanding content. But nope.
please i hope the music won't suck in this
GTA V's story mode was arguably the most forgettable one yet, and I don't think a proper DLC could've saved it.
Well let's ignore the subjective part of your post for the moment and I'll just say that I would have very much liked some new SP content regardless of the quality of the main story. Why? Because I don't want to play the abomination that is GTA Online. It's full of cheaters and shit business practices so Take 2 and Rockstar can fuck right off.
GTA:O gets all the content and us plebeians who want nothing to do with MP in GTA5 get fuck all.
GTA:O is a pretty full scale GTA experience nowadays, with each of these big updates serving as a new story arc within the world. It's basically the best compromise you're gonna get over a full ass DLC, and GTA:O aint even bad since they've reworked everything.
Whenever an update is coming to GTA Online, my mind immediately wanders on how much this is going to cost, not how much fun I can have with it, which says a lot and it's pretty sad really.
Money.
Is it just me or did they do Gay Tony's face all wrong? Like it doesn't work in this iteration of RAGE?
That's nice and all but I don't want to play with other people.
That's great and all but I can't afford to keep up in it since I don't have $500 to spend on enough Shark Cards to catch up to the playerbase.

The new Tony doesn't have the earring(s), lighter facial hair, no wrinkles, a shorter/rounder chin, heck it doesn't even look like the same dude. I think Rockstar is just getting sloppy now because anyone left working on GTA:O isn't as top-notch as the folks on RDR2 etc.
first thing i thought when i watched this was "cool more cars for hackers to spawn"
GTA 5 is the only game in the franchise, except the ones I've never owned ie Vice City Stories and Chinatown Wars, that I haven't put over 100hrs into. The lowest common denominator strikes again.
He looks like someone made him in the character creator, yeesh

shame, tony was my favorite character and the ballad of gay tony was my favorite part of GTAIV, wish it had actual justice done to it.
i still remember the trailer with roxanne in the background and how pumped i was for it.
the entire franchise would like to disagree
grinding has never been a part of gta, let alone the core of the experience. and it very much is with gta online
But they didn't rework anything. The inexcusably bad lobby system still makes doing literally anything other than freeroam a fucking nightmare. God forbid you want to do freeroam organization stuff because you'll just get griefed instantly
The problem is that a lot of the people enamoured with GTA:O - even if they haven't spent a penny on it - are a little tunnel-vision'd with it.
I've spent the last few months getting, for the lack of a better analogy, max-level in GTA:O. It was rather involved, and took a fair bit of grinding here and there.
I've enjoyed it, especially the buildings you can buy that give you access to four player Heists (including a new set of heists that were added late last year) but in the back of my head it's been constantly nagging me - if the grind was cut in half, if the costs weren't so explicitly "please buy shark cards to be ripped off" the game would be a LOT better.
I'm ignoring the existence of hackers for the most part as I've only ran into two that were... blatantly bad.
But the thing is, what GTA:O gets right is the way a lot of the world is actually used. Around the city, you'll be stealing shipments and vehicles to then sell on, possibly to outside the county. In Blaine County your businesses are manufacturing coke and guns to be sold in Los Santos itself. A hangar in the military base holds your fancy planes. And, a little stretching of the "...why exactly do I own this", a goddamn secret covert facility owned on the north coast where you can launch the Doomsday heists from.
Where it all falls apart to me sometimes is the existence of... well, through the Major updates, vehicles and weapons have been escalating. First, it was just armored cars with either a tank or a jet you could own. Then, one update started adding fancy gimmick cars, like the quad-bike that also turns into a jet-ski, or the Massive Truck with a Plow on the front. Fair enough - they don't exactly make or break the balance, just fun toys.
Then they started adding bikes that can transform into a jet, a DeLorean that can fly (Which is cool!) and can shoot missiles (...Not cool, why even use a jet now?), tanks that are even more armored, tilt-rotor helicopters with explosive cannons...
There are still a lot of fun cars and gimmicks and missions available, but as a whole GTA:O just isn't... very coherent.
What have they reworked exactly?
some friends and I decided to give it another chance a couple of weeks ago, and we were instantly reminded of one of the many reasons why we stopped playing it in the first place; the atrocious loading times. Like seriously, ~4 minutes from you being at your desktop to actually being in-game is just blech. We were fortunate enough to enter a session where the rest of the players were relatively friendly and minded their own business, but even when you're not getting constantly fucked over by bored high-tier players the progression's still really, really slow and tedious, not at all helped by the arbitrary artificial restrictions whose only function is to slow your progress even more in an attempt to make you shell out real money (I.E, "nope, you can't sell your shipments in rapid succession, you have to wait for 45 minutes between each "), or the small fact that players can't wire money or give assets to each other, which is absolute ass when one of your friends is completely new and has nothing, while the group has like 50 million+ combined, and could easily pocket in to give the new group member a startup boost had it been possible.
It sorta feels like you have to treat the game as a full time job if you want a chance of keeping up without paying extra, and it's a shame because GTA:O has the potential to be really, really fun, but it sorta just feels like a bad F2P game
The new Tony looks like the kind of guy who would make an unboxing video of his Nintendo Switch.
My two most played games are World of Warcraft and Warframe. I don't mind grinding for stuff, particularly if the core loop is enjoyable to play. But the lobbies and load screens and constant bugs kill it for me.
watching this just makes me miss playing 4/EFLC...
I feel like Rockstar has been getting better about giving away free money and stuff. The past few weeks leading up to this update, they've been handing out 100-300k each week, and earlier throughout this year they were also giving out some pretty hefty cash bonuses. The opportunities to make money are there, you just have to keep an eye out for them. Also, r/gtaglitches and se7ensins regularly post the latest money glitches, so it's always good to check on that especially around the time a new update drops. There's almost always a few simple glitches you can exploit the first few weeks after an update.
The fact that you have to rely on the devs providing random giveaways and glitches to make money in a reasonable amount of time is pretty telling though, isn't it?
