As per tradition, the new President has chosen the new face of the national waifu, Marianne. It'll be on every stamp for the next five years.

Done by an artist called YZ over a wall, which differs quite heavily from the previous ones which have mostly been sculpted busts.
2013 waifu for reference

Understandably there's no English articles I could find for something so minor, but I felt like sharing this, because it's a neat little tradition and we get to have our very own national waifu.
French sources as a formality :

National waifus are actually fairly common. The US has Columbia/Statue of Liberty, the UK has Britannia, Germany has Germania, Switzerland has Helvetia.
Yeh fairly common but five-year office terms for national waifus are not. Most of them were painted back in the 1800's when nationalism was invented, and then just stay as they are.
Your waifu a shit.
A SHIT.
Can the president only pick the face? Both of the have similar hair and an odd hat.
Patriotic bodypillows when
why not build a giant statue of wifu and place her in the middle of paris or something?
The Phrygian Cap is actually a pretty important symbol considering it represents the Republic.
Oh damn Columbia wears it too
Here we have hispania, although I feel republicans use her more:

Have some respect, Marianne is a huge fan of the Smurfs.

damn, hair goals
uh no that's Belgica
Does the Statue of Liberty really count when it was a gift from France?
I mean American men do love French women but the Statue of Liberty has a pretty haggard face, tbqh.

Even more evident when you look at the original design:

The hair is just a matter of preference, most versions of Marianne have had long curly hair but there's been exceptions, especially when they are based on real people.

Brazil has Christ the Redeemer
You're forgetting husbandos too, Uncle Sam and John Bull to name the most significant ones.
