Funny that if this was a TV show it'd be fine a for a season ending cliff hanger but in the print world that shit simply isn't kosher anymore, because characters aren't allowed to be complex or flawed now.
Comics these days really don't have the wiggle room to do this kind of shit, comic chops barely make enough money as it is and they'll drop a series in a second if it's not making enough sales.

What was the twist/bait and switch?
Seems to be that Batman and Catwoman were supposed to be married (what) and the marriage didn't happen. That's just what I can gleam from the article though, I haven't read these comics.
I'll slip it into spoilers
the reason why Catwoman stood Batman up was because her best friend put doubt in her, saying that Bruce needed to be sad in order to be Batman. So, Selina leaves without telling anyone, and that's that. But then the last few pages has Selina's friend go to Arkham Asylum in order to meet up with who she was working for, which turned out to be Bane. Bane being the one orchestrating Selina breaking up with Bruce is w/e (as Bane vs Bats was the main part of a few plots of this ongoing so far), but the real fuckin dumb thing is that he's flanked by several characters that have been important so far, including Gotham Girl (who was on Batman's side!) and fucking Thomas Wayne (who not only got erased from reality earlier in the comic, but even told Bruce straight up to stop being Batman and get married!)
it's so dumb and the only thing to look forward to now is to see how King's gonna try to dig himself out of this stupid-ass hole
