The said thing is, I couldn't even used soft lamps
Well, I kind of did, but I had to use the in-game ones without rendering the screenshot as poster_soft.
What exactly is happening with soft lamps? Can you send some renders as examples?
@Olmate Ubafest , well in this case I couldn't use them because of the map... or perhaps I could have, but at the time I couldn't be bothered to try and figure out the way to do it.

I used the same setup as always to achieve screenshots such as these;

but everything is super bright now. I tried using poster_darken 0.3 and poster_aa 0 as per T3ss3R's suggestion, and while it did help somewhat, it definitely doesn't look the same it used to and it definitely isn't as simple to use as it was before.
My go-to settings are poster_darken 0.1 with lamp brightness at 8 and a surface resolution never further than 15. The example on the left there just looks like the render is way too bright before darkening and soft lamps trying way too hard to darken it to your setting. The one on the right looks more like an issue with a real low darken value. poster_aa, depending on the colours in your picture, can cause very minor to rather major colour burning. This pic here is about the extent of what you'll have to deal with as a result of aa alone.

Sometimes you can leave it, sometimes you can't, hence why by default it's off.
Hope this helps
