Having lived in Canada, Japan, and The Philippines and stood for their national anthems as well as the United States, I enjoy the melodies of national anthems and I can understand how it imbues someone with a sense of pride in their nation (regardless of the politics). Likewise, I'm far from supporting Soviet ideologies, but I still like the Soviet national anthem as a melody.
You're pitiful measured on any scale but military. There's not much to be proud of except stupid stubbornness being a cultural trait.
