This randomly happens 2 of either ways: 1. I get into Gmod, open the multiplayer server browser, look in my history, and its not there. Search it up in the server category, and its not there. or 2. This one happens more rarely, but ill be able to see the server,click connect, and it fails to connect. Ive tried to connect via console but it still fails to connect. I use the server host's "Connect to server" button (which just connects you to the server nothing special) but then the steam window for thje server info pops up and says its not responding. This is getting very irritating and forces me to wait like an hour before itll work again. Does anyone have any fix for this?
is your server a dedicated server, if so, did you port forward it first?
What do you mean by dedicated? and also port forward? haha
Dedicated means you're hosting the server via SRCDS (assuming you know what that is)
when he already ask what you mean with dedicated and port forward, i say he dont
If you dont even know what a dedicated server is then you shouldnt host a server in first place.
Assuming you're home hosting, Google port forwarding and how to do it on your specific router.

To beginn with you should be familiar with using SRCDS and Dedicated Server Hosting. If you would have already known it then this would be the right place to ask thats right but at least bring some basic knowledge of running and having a server...
