Make no mistake: Regardless of the outcome of the House resolution, Republicans are manufacturing a pretext for Donald Trump to directly fire Rod Rosenstein. Trump is going to attempt to fire Rosenstein himself.
Indeed. This impeachment would require a bunch of yes votes from many Democratic Senators to actually remove him. This looks like a stunt to make Trump come out and look like a big strong boy and fire him because the evil democrats are obstructing or whatever.

This is unlikely to actually succeed, but it's extremely concerning to see anybody within our government supporting this, as impeaching Rosenstein would be tantamount to declaring Civil War. America would not, and should not, take that lying down.

Not incorrect but my point was more a lamentation of far-right GOP representatives voting to impeah Rosenstein as "throwing red meat to the base". Everything about that is just fucking gross, from the peoples desire to see Trump immune to investigation to Republicans capitalizing on it for political gain.

I'll believe Ryan when he says not only does he not support that effort, but he will table and deschedule any vote or bill that attempts to do so at this time.

A vote for impeaching Rosenstein is a vote against the rule of law in this country, and in favor of the president's attempts to obstruct investigations into his own increasingly obvious criminal behavior. Every single Republican who voted for this resolution needs to be voted out of office.
I don't even care if they're replaced by another Republican, as long as it's a Republican who loves the country and its people more than deepthroating Putin's cock. Red traitors get out.
