“They really aren’t in touch with reality. The most important thing to them [is that Trump] seems to hate the same people that they hate,” Ron Reagan told Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s “Hardball” on Thursday. “That’s the real Trump derangement syndrome.”
A revved-up Matthews groused that if President Barack Obama had committed an antic like one of Trump’s, he “would have been keelhauled.”
Reagan responded: “You’re absolutely right. No previous president could have gotten away with even a tenth of the things that Donald Trump has.”
the fact that 'trump seems to hate the same people that they hate' works is because they are just really really hated, and the only alternative.
This guy makes some points amongst the bullshit that are just demonstrably true and demonstrably denied by the democratic parties. This is the fuel that fuels the trumpet idiots and i fear trumps second term if it keeps getting worse.
Its up to the berniecrats to save things tbh.
Coming straight from the son of 'the man who destroyed communism'. Admitting his own party is so out of touch that they'd rather support an ex-Soviet over a democrat. Just because.
Oh what would he know he's out of touch he's just a communist!/s
Little by little the people the right would claim to love are slowly realizing how manipulated they're being. And little by little they're realizing how gone these people are.
So wierd how quickly America's view towards Russia has shifted since Trump has been elected.
I honestly think this has to do with pure desperation. Obama would have been crucified because Republicans were handed two consecutive defeats at the hands of their antithesis: A black democrat, and democrats at the time did not hold majority in the House.
Now that they finally hold power via presidency, they are desperately clinging onto the power they have again, and nothing will make them let go. They would sooner betray their country and countrymen so long as they can ‘stick it to the libs’ and keep hold of what vestiges of authority they can.
However, the administration is plagued with corruption and scandals, with many of their own opposing them or even jumping ship entirely. It is not sustainable, and hopefully sooner rather than later, it will collapse, and leave an irreparable scar on their party, marking them as traitors to their country if they continue to support an adversary over America.
I don't think Trump actually changed it that much. White Nationalists already loved Putin and Russia, and I think the other Republican voters' distrust has been gradually turning to apathy
since the 90s. It doesn't really matter how much of the party likes Russia, not caring about what they're doing is good enough.
Throughout my whole childhood there was Russian propaganda in the form of manly bear-riding Putin memes.
Clearly a RINO, throw him in the guac bowl of shame with the rest of the 2016 primary and move along.
wait you say ideologistic purges are a bad thing? get ready for the GOP of 2018 then, cas like everybody with an illusion of a spine is running for the door leaving seats open for more crazy candidates.
