I'm only halfway done with the video but this dude's voice is soothing as hell.
Only got to about 11 min in, but I feel like this video would be a lot better for incels if he actually explained why the things he pointed out were toxic, wrong and cognitive distortions (which they are), rather than assume the viewer understands.
As someone who's not in that incel mindset, it's obvious how the way incels think is a distortion of the truth due to insecurities and fabricated ideals. However, some young teen who's lonely, depressed, and insecure might look at things like "Chads", "gymcels", "Teenage love meter" and resonate with that toxic way of thinking, because it externalizes the reasons why he's lonely as out of his control rather than his lack of motivation to improve himself and his fears which are in his control.
Ultimately incels have this toxic way of thinking as a defense mechanism that justifies why they have bad personalities and lack motivation to improve. The thought that they have the power to change and that they can find love (at the risk of rejection but also with the chance to succeed) is anxiety provoking and requires them to change, and change is scary. By admitting that it's possible for them to find love, that they need to work on their personality / social skills and mindset, and that there are no barriers to finding love other than the ones they make for themselves, they open themselves up to getting anxiety and rejection. If it's impossible for them to find love like they claim, they don't have to change, they don't need to try, and they can't get rejected / experience anxiety. By putting down others who are successful they feel better about themselves because it makes them feel superior for fabricated, nonsensical reasons and reinforces the desire to not change by claiming that people who succeed just got lucky or people who improve are wasting their time.
I think he could have made this video a lot shorter if he explained it better and got to the point quickerbut I understand it was part of a stream so it was more a stream of consciousness.
