Feels good to finally unleash this one. Hope you guys like it!
I seriously love the amount of effort you put in the aesthetics in your videos.
I can clearly see you have lots of fun making it and you are passionate about making video !
3 solid months of work, and it all pays off. Sidenote, I finally used this opportunity to teach myself 3D modeling. Shit ain't no fuckin' joke. Stuff like the graveyard scene was fun to make though!

God damn this episode is eye candy.
I absolutely love your videos! Cant wait for the next one.
But it's just a theory... A GAME THE- Oh wait. This is quality content. Genuinely well done and I enjoy the graphical elements surrounding it heavily!
Thanks guys! I should also mention how crazy it was to see my little teaser yesterday get posted - I didn’t think anyone would really care but it got posted across Facepunch and Reddit. Nice to have affirmation that I did a good enough job to put into question my involvement with the actual series. If only! It’s the first time I ever actually prepared something like that and put real effort into it. I literally bought black CD-Rs and a CRT to pull that one off. Definitely worth it.
I would argue that its not a new standard, but rather a continuation of previous works such as Ben Drowned and Found on the Tapes or even a final conclusion. There are many mediums where creepypasta stories can be told, my current favorite being The Sun Vanished on twitter or MotherHorseEyes.
I've been trying to get my friends interested in petscop, but the moment I drop the word, "creepypasta" they turn their nose immediately.
There's a bad connotation with the word, I hope it changes one day.
I guess I would say that by the “new standard”, I’m referring to the fact that Petscop will be my new reference point for a well-done, well-rounded creepypasta, especially when they’re video game related. The Sun Vanished is definitely fantastic and I would say that it falls on the level of Petscop when it comes to effectiveness - but therein lies my point. Whether or not I consider a creepypasta/ARG effective is directly based on my feelings for Petscop. I’m not saying I won’t enjoy other stories by any means! People should be trying to break boundaries and finding more creative ways to tell involved, developed, stories with subtlety. For me, Petscop is the homemade grilled hamburger. Sure, I love Five Guys. I’ll even go to Shake Shack; but I know that nothing is going to beat the carefully seasoned perfection of charcoal grilled angus.
The editing in this video is really top notch, like it's even better than some of the stuff I often see in slightly more popular gaming channels. Overall a great analysis as well on what makes Petscop so compelling compared to game-themed creepypastas recently. (Funny you also shown some footage of CONCLUSE though, it's definitely not in the same league as Petscop and doesn't really feel like a PS1 game, but it's one of my recent favorites, and I like that the whole series was an elaborate series of long teasers for an actual game that came out in Steam).
I really hope you surge up in popularity soon, it's a crime you still don't have at least 10k subscribers right now.
It's really so relieving to hear that you guys enjoy the aesthetics in this one. I'm always trying to find new ways to give myself options for videos. Adding Blender in seemed to do the trick for sure. Modeling and UV mapping itself probably took up a full month in collective time but seeing as how effective it was I think I made the right decision. I think it'll be fun in the future to add more game assets and whatnot. It's a decision I made when I did Spyro and it kinda (not really) backfired on me when I did Petscop. Then I was like "wait I'm gonna have to make that". Everything in Petscop is simplistic enough for a beginner like me to do it, so it's interesting that it all worked out and fit together properly.
I've been dying to do a video like Petscop where I try to do full-on tonal shifts throughout the video. My favorite bit is probably when I talk about Resident Evil and Silent Hill.
Awesome, a petscop video and done by you no less!
Great video 👌 I will say tho it kinda feels like you way overblew how much effort it takes to make a homebrew PS1 game then record it on actual hardware
But that's coming from the perspective of someone who does that kind of stuff, so maybe I'm biased.
Man PGunni. This is some absolutely stellar work you've done on this one. I was a bit worried when it'd been a while since we heard from you, but I really must say, it was worth the wait.
I love your presentation, though I feel like a more calm and less shouting narration would make the tone of the video feel more relaxing.
