2018 Avtomat Rally
Yes it’s that time of year again. Get those bath towels off your dashboards and don your sunhats for it’s rally time! The Avtomat August Rally is a event for people to show off their advanced contraptions, predominately cars, trucks, bikes and the like. For more info check the "Post your Current WIP thread".

Date: The date and time proposed is 1PM GMT to 9PM GMT on 17th-18th August 2018. This might change, we will give you the heads up about that.

The server will be locked and the password will be given out to people via discord or steam.
We’ll have around 40 slots for this year’s rally
Hosts: TheShipHoo, QuasarBarkas as well as an undecided host from EST to continue the rally through the night on their end.
Rules:
1) No downforce/fin.
2) Vehicle must be finished
3) Engine must suit the vehicle. This means that you cannot mount a v12 in a twingo or mount something with 500hp in a moped.
4) Only one engine is allowed. Cars having a main engine and also needing a smaller engine as a turbo is also not allowed.
5) Only one car to be spawned at a time
6) For this event in particular, we’re allowing E2 and Prop Engines, but please keep them sensible (see rule 3)
7) Shortcuts are not allowed, they will result in disqualifications.
8) Don't annoy other contestants. This includes ragdolling into cars.
9) E2 Holo bodies are allowed so long as they are from stock source games (vehicles from css, hl2 etc. Cars not allowed are ones requiring addons such as TDM and LW)
10) If you flip your car, your time will be reset. You have a maximum of 3 tries. After this we’ll get you to leave.
11) You must only use rotational force on the wheels of your car for power. Thrusters, turbo E2s that use applyforce and other such ways of boosting power are not allowed
12) Finally, your vehicle must have rally equipment and must look the part. Foglights, numbers, advertising, rollcages, sport seats etc. E2s for things such as the Avtomat Logos will be provided in the discord.
Fictional Gmod Companies such as Akare, Barkanov Automotive Industries, Hachi, FMC
We won't check cars or rummage through E2s, as frankly it takes too much time and nobody enjoys it.

FAQ and loose bits of information :
Q: Can I record this event?
A: We will have around 3 public filmcrew slots if you want to record the whole event. If you want to just record your lap then that’s absolutely fine too.
Q: Can I change my entry?
A: If you’ve changed your mind on what to enter in, that’s fine, but please don’t change your mind too many times because we have to keep tabs on who’s driving what.
Q: Is there a Discord or a place where I can get announcements?
A: Of course! Link is: https://discord.gg/fbAzRQA. This will contain bits such as E2s, tips and you can ask us questions there as it'll be easier to do.
Q: Can I enter in more than one vehicle?
A: At the moment, no you cannot enter in more than one vehicle, for it'll be easier for us to keep tabs on who has who want what.

I can't wait to see what you all have come up with, whether that would be a holobody suspension-focused time-attack monster, or a carefully detailed oldtimer that normally wouldn't fit on a track. Most things are welcome, so like I said: we're looking forward to seeing your creations!

neat! I did notice that your server does not have TF2. can we remedy that? Also, are prop engines in a different class than acf ?

Honestly, I would not recommend rhine as a candidate for this rally. Cars will be much too fast, you'd need to limit p/w ratio to like 75 to keep on the roads.
Forestrally is doable but is bumpy as shit. I would honestly recommend [url=https://forum.facepunch.com/f/mapping/roqr/gm-boreas-beta-release/1/]Boreas[/url]. Excellent map with some very cool terrain.
I'm absolutely amazed with the amount of entries. Also yeah rhine is a bit of a shit idea due to the flimsy roads. We'll probably use boreas as a backup.
To be honest, I found rhine to be quite amusing to drive on. Sure some of the curves dont allow for super high speeds but they require skill to get a proper line through them, how I see it. But I've been on boreas before and its also quite decent so meh, I prefer rhine because of the feel and like how it looks but yeah I'm fine with whatever.
well their will be (i hope) forest rally v2 now with more smooth roads.
and a HP/T of 75 is low it should be 300.
what i mean is that if the acf engine makes 243hp and the car is 1315kg the hp/t is 184.79
so i cant even use my car if it was stock irl.
