I recently got banned from rust but I read the "Read me". So I'm not asking for an unban.
I'm trying to find out why I got banned from this game.
Does anyone know that if I open two games that uses Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) ?
I was playing Rust while being dead in fortnite.
I wonder if it can cause a glitch in the anti-cheat.
the readme tells you who to ask - direct your question at EAC. Not here.
EAC doesn't answer your question they just say : you have been banned and we can't unban you.
They could also say "Fuck you" and it would be the same.
correct. So to translate that for you: you are, indeed - fucked.
Also if EAC said "Fuck you", I think you could have maaaayyyybe sued them. When they say "you have been banned and we can't unban you" - there is nothing else you can do and you can't even accuse them of being "unprofessional".
Then why do they accept ban appeals, it 's just a time loss for them.
EAC does not disclose what triggered a certified ban. If they did, then cheats and hacks would end up updated more frequently and elude detection for longer and longer.
Also, the odds of you being banned due to having multiple games that use EAC running at the same time is highly unlikely. If that was the case you are probably banned in Fortnight too because it would be awfully suspicious for that to only happen in one game when they use the same anti cheat.
I agree and understand but I can't think of any other reasons...
On very rare occasions EAC does ban by mistake. If you put in an appeal, they check and it turns out that it was a false positive THEN you get an explanation and an unban.
Then why did I not get unban ?
1) because it was not a false positive...
2) Whenever false positives happen - its usually a "mass-wave" of false bans. Like even DEV accounts got banned in the last "false positive" ban-wave. When DEVs get banned - alongside 100s of other accounts on the same day - that is when you know its very likely a false ban wave and EAC will be unbanning.
Random kiddo getting banned for running some random cheats =/= a false positive.
