Pretty interesting, I usually turn FXAA off but I may give 2x MSAA + FXAA a try
This is an awesome video to explain the basics of Antialiasing to people with little game engine knowledge. I actually learned how the sampling works, it actually makes a lot of sense.
FXAA should be permanently replaced with SMAA everywhere
I remember when Battlefield 3 came out some guy made an FXAA injector that made the game look way better with no impact on performance. If done properly it can really make a difference.
Gonna rock those settings for a slight boost. Don't even need it, but it feels good in my head so...
I'll try his FXAA + 2xMSAA trick.
It works pretty well from what I saw at a rough glance, and weirdly enough, 2xMSAA yields less fps than FXAA + 2xMSAA. A little less but well, less. And supposedly it should yield more and look slightly worse. Still, couldnt see much difference, but then again, it wasn't a very scientific experiment. But I totally vouch for lowering from 8x to 2x.
