This man has perfected the art of video game trolling.
I've seen this before. (Have I ?! It shows today's date )
"This is the police, to the police, 20k please" gets me good every time.
patreon upload
Correct- Daniel confirmed it to me it was a Patreon.
It blows my mind that some people are so dedicated to RP that they'll let themselves get incredibly frustrated instead of just leaving the server.
Well, to be fair, for a long time roleplayer depending on persistence you can lose alot if a troll try to get you kicked. Everything Daniel did up to blocking the door was pretty well within RP reason, so the guys likely thought he was gonna try and call an admin on them if they left. Turned into a pretty interesting situation too, and Daniel played it pretty well for a troll.
the daniels touch has come upon this server everytime he does rp trolling there's tons of people imitating him I join, and after 15 minutes of downloading theres 10 people in spawn giving out tacos
For a lot of people it's fun, but usually dumb gimmicky stuff like you'd see here often have people thinking an admin is gonna handle the situation. Bad trolling where you're breaking the rules and gunning people down when you get a gun nets pretty fast bans from what I've seen over the years. But if you troll within the rules and don't try to alert too much admin disapproval then you're gonna be fine, it's gonna piss people off but if you're not breaking rules you're good
It's such a warm feeling to see one of my favorite YouTubers playing the on the gamemode I co-created with Gonzo. It's also bitter sweet, though, because I haven't been a part of it for a year or two since it was sold but to see so many people have enjoyment with stuff I created out of passion is an amazing feeling. Looking for the outside at roleplay communities (as well as being older) gives a completely different perspective than I previously had on their existence, popularity, etc. Being a younger teen, I was very possessive towards power and sorted expected that people would respect authority if it was pertinent to gameplay. Now, I'm very offput by the sort of roleplaying I see in the video (with the exception of Daniel). I see a trend of roleplaying communities attempting to recreate life and making gameplay "serious" expecting it will result in more immersion and enjoyment, but I personally see it doing the opposite; it actually comes off as cringy even though I hate using that word. I changed my philosophy over the years regarding "serious" roleplay more in favor of "authentic" gameplay, and I tried to implement this in Monolith before leaving. This would gear gameplay mechanics to encourage meaningful interaction between players rather hoping that they would act completely mature. I also wanted gameplay mechanics to work naturally in regards to encouraging gameplay. Instead, what I see in the gamemode is a lot of RuneScape-esque grinding. It's essentially a glorified MMO which is fine if that's their goal. I personally do not see that doing any favors in regards to actually making it solely oriented towards roleplaying. There's a ton of holes in the mechanics as far as punishing bad behavior especially as well. Doing anything fun or exciting would result in a obnoxious prison sentence of 10 minutes+ which is incredibly asinine. I saw the gamemode turn from fun and creativity oriented to a grindfest with authoritarian, power-hungry kids. Given that I was no longer part of Monolith's development, I was not able to fully communicate the extent of my ideas. Don't get me wrong; I think it is a well-built game. But, sadly, I haven't had any interest in playing the gamemode I spent a year and half creating because it is beyond recognition. I wanted to have fun, but I honestly could not. At the end of the day, I'm just happy to see that all my player models, car skins, GUI, and various designs are still intact and being used.
