Let him. That only helps the Democrats and denies Republicans opportunity to try and cover up their flawed and failing recent acts by buttressing the harm they're doing with handouts which 'fix the problem'.
This will only fuel the Midterm turnouts. However, mindfully, Trump is already declaring that Russians are likely to assist the Democrats in the midterms because 'he's the toughest President on Russia'. So even if Dems win back control of the House he's likely going to blame that on Russian influence and demand 'investigations' and recounts on every election just to maximize the chance that they flip some of those seats that the Dems flipped back to Republicans and those avoid a Democrat takeover of House control.
