As part of their Brexit "divorce talks" the UK Government and European Commission want to divide up tariff rate quotas on agricultural products.
New Zealand - and Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Thailand, the US and Uruguay - all object to the proposal. That's because simply splitting the trade quotas would mean exporters wouldn't be able to move their goods freely across the English channel once they've landed in Europe.
"We are fighting the corner, but we are not proposing escalating this into a trade war, with tit-for-tat tariffs. We are just observing that the EU has been noting their own concerns about a WTO rules-based order being maintained. We are saying this is a case in point where it ought to be.

Is that picture of sheep supposed to represent New Zealand
Looks like a random picture of a NZ city
I was about to make a joke about Boilrig and New Zealand, but then I opened the thread.
I don't see what you find so unusual about a photo of some regular NZ citizens.
Careful now, that’s not just a regular picture; some NZers might consider that picture highly erotic
