Moderators of server: 7/19|Rads Server|Scrap 5x|Large are abusing privileges - General Discussion

I wanted to make aware to the community of moderator abuser occurring on this server. I have submitted a formal complaint already. I understand what I am about to post will likely get squashed as paranoia/raging quit/etc. though my hope is that this may have happened to others and provide an outlet or platform for RUST developers to then take necessary action. I will start from the top so that you may understand. I will provide the facts as they occur. You can make the necessary conclusions. Keep in my mind, I am a streamer, and recorder this game.I will use the recording when absolutely necessary, and, only, then. I am securing this video; otherwise, I know that this is not the norm of other players to record their games, and I want them to address this as they would any other player. I bought this game last night. I joined this server today. I, immediately, went to the airfield to loot as I only had a rock and a torch. No clothes, no guns, nothing. A player walks up to me and shoots me with his hand gun point blank in the head. I express my frustration to this server and meet someone who takes me under his wing. I state I would like to get revenge on the player who shot me. He informs me through the kill logs that this players name is 'Dub' and that he has been on here for awhile. I explain my circumstances and he agrees to help me. He introduces me to another player who joins our vigilante cause. We locate 'Dub' and his buddy 'Mars Bar.' We proceed to raid his base and kill him. I asked that if he apologized for his poor play we would stop. He never apologized. We continue to raid his well fortified base. He eventually apologized though lied stating I had weapons and gear on me, just not equipped. At this point I asked the server to vote if we should stop raiding him. Server voted and it was a tie. I waited in my friends well secured base, learning the game mechanics more, when unidentified person arrive with well fitted gear to this base and begins raiding it. He was unable, too. Mod begins to flame me on his server using server chat. I stated in general chat, "how do I report mods for cheating?" Server replies: 1-800-HELP-GOD. This continues... I state "Welp, thanks for all this, I have this recorded and hope to have your accounts banned from RUST permanently for cheating and abusing power." Server replies stop crying. I reply, "how am I crying?" Server replies, "You are being banned for toxic behavior." I am now banned. Again, I bought this game last night. I joined this server today. Today was the first time I ever played this game. This was my first gaming experience in this game. I provided the facts as they occur. You can make the necessary conclusions. I will use the recording when absolutely necessary, and, only, then. I am securing this video; otherwise, I know that this is not the norm of other players to record their games, and I want them to address this as they would any other player. I hope this will be addressed by RUST and its developers. If not, this recording of this game, and this copy/pasted review will likely burn this game to the ground. I do not want that to happen as this has been 10/10 the best gaming experience of my life. Until these mods abused their power and f'd with the wrong person. Thank you for reading this. They are using the tools and commands available to server owners/admins/moderators. You may not like it but it isn't cheating in the sense that it's their server that they pay for, they can do what they want. And before you say anything, no I don't cheat, I don't have my own server or any of that. I, as well as a good portion of the old school community have felt that way since the beginning. If you don't like it, play somewhere else. Especially in your case where you threatened them.

It's a private server owned and operated by someone completely unrelated to facepunch. What you're asking for is like yelling at an architect because you walked into your neighbors house and he treated you like an asshole. People can be pricks with their own crap, find a server that doesn't have assholes moderating it.

First of all , what kind of idiot are you ? You post a link to an American private University which teaches American law, As you might not be aware Facepunch operates under ENGLISH law , Apart from that unless the server you played on stated in its terms of use that certain conditions would be met it is under no obligation to do anything to satisfy its users (especially as you dont pay anything to play there) , As it is a third party using FP material (Rust) you can only attempt to take any action against the server owners. And your odds of success ? F* all I dont think you read the box when you bought the game, Its a game of survival , against players, enviroment, animals and bots, I was killed within the first 5 minutes of playing my first game and have been killed a thousand times since then , big woop ! The only way to survive is to trust no one , its a game not real life and if you think anyone that kills you is cheating you are on a very long learning curve, I think it would be better if you got a game like "Bambi 11 Forest Friends" its more your speed and guess what ! No cheats (I hope)

@CROOOOW! - read the above reply, probably the only one on this entire thread that is closest to the truth and to what happened. Let me re-iterate this for you one more time (since you're a noobie and still earning - as you have admitted yourself, you may learn something here). 1) There are 2 types of Rust servers: Official (hosted and operated by Facepunch) and Unofficial (AKA Modded or Community). 2) Contrary to common logic - official servers actually don't have admins (Facepunch does not have admins who monitor the servers 24/7). Unofficial servers however, can/may have random admins - who are just community members, basically regular players, like you and I, who just happened to be hosting that server. 3) Hosting a community (non-official server) makes you an admin. Anyone can host a server (with enough $$) so anyone can potentially be an admin on the server which they host. Stemming from the above 3 points - you should be able to conclude - that the admins you ran into, were just regular players hosting their server. You were playing on their server. By their rules. There is nothing you can do to ban them on their server. It's like trying to go against a CEO of a private company, when you yourself just got hired on an entry-level job. Very, very unlikely that you will succeed. And any video material will not help - because again - you are complaining about someone's private server. Its like I invited you for some beers over my house during a block party, but then kicked you out because I didn't like the shirt you were wearing. Yes - its scummy, but its my house, and my party. Anyway, I wanted to get that out of the way, in case you got confused, and thought that the actual game developers were treating you poorly.
