https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8fqNKItK3w Looks very rough and buggy at the moment (though guess to be expected) but the gimmicks behind it really seems to have the potential to be one of the more interesting battle royale games out there
Pretty sceptical. Seems more like a cheap grab at the Stalker fanbase. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a proper multiplayer game set in the Zone. Taking in mind that it's in beta, the PUBG-ish look of this really does not portray the Zone well. I know it's not a Stalker game, but some run down houses with nothing inside them and old soviet machinery/structures are not nearly enough to provide what essentially made the Stalker games so appealing - atmosphere. Fog and some wolves don't cut it either. The extraction system seemed pretty neat and a good idea, but getting shot when climbing the rope looks like way to get yourself killed 90% of the time.
The vomit inducing low FOV is pretty idicative of its quality.
I see it has dogs that teleport through you as they attack just like in Souls
U OK? Hope u not too butt hurt. Just having some fun.
I played the initial "beta" that they first came out with. It ran like ass, looked like ass, had insane amounts of lag, and seemed to have absolutely nothing in terms of sound design. Vehicles were more of an anomaly in terms of behavior than the actual anomalies themselves. It's no wonder they had to delay release of the game. Maybe the newer beta was somehow magically better, but it did not leave a good impression with me, which is a shame. Honestly, the concept of "STALKER, but Battle Royale" seems like it has the potential to be an enthralling one. Certainly won't be able to take on the likes of PUBG or Fortnite, but if pulled off right, I'm sure it could find it's own really dedicated niche.
now I'm going to get stalked outside of the rust section because I made fun of you for being bad and crying over video games This is gold, but its not going to go the way you think
Holy fuck this is some comedy shit on this account. I didn't know people this unaware still existed.
It's the survarium assets in a different engine. I feel kinda scammed here.
I mean... look at the president
Survarium didn't work out for them for pretty much the same reasons Fear the Wolves doesn't seem to be, so they decided "Hey, BR games are popular, so what if we try this again but as a BR?" Vostok Games just makes me sad honestly. If they had just made STALKER but co-op (meaning a proper spiritual successor that just so happens to have co-op), they probably would've found success. Instead, they're focusing on making games that just have a STALKER skin.
Yeah. Tehy're just missing open world and NPCs pretty much. Shooting in survarium is amazing, all you need is mindless missions and a reason to go into dangerous areas. Doesn't really need larger maps either, just interconnected smaller ones like SoC..
