While the pic and colors are good, you blurred it too much. If you blur, you could focus either on the guy in the back or in the front. The focus looks like it's slightly behind the guy in the front, making him blurry as well as the guy in the distance. Maybe it's the chromatic aberration. Did you use that?
It's an issue I was aware of during the edit, yeah. I wanted to re-render with better DOF settings, but SFM was uncooperative and the original DMX for this scene is now corrupted, probably because I was using cheaty methods to replace the Shadow's model with another model as well as a lot of override materials on culled elements of the scene (they've given me crashes bef0re). The CA was added just because it's a trademark of mine whenever it fits. I had a sharpen mask layer to try and bring some detail back but it barely worked to correct the blur. Here's the original, you can see here that the DOF render distance was slightly too far from the model so as a result he was slightly out of focus. I really wish I could've fixed it, but I didn't want to re-create something that I'd done perfectly on the first bash-- a rarity for me. This is my second time trying to make an image based on Manhunter (the other was a failure I haven't even exported) so getting this right on the first try and then having the session broke has really upset me, because I would love to fix the blur issue. C'est la vie. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/229956/a24f65ed-3afd-4759-b265-a5233a6f3bfe/postermanhunter11515155141512121.jpg
