Mana Yegani’s tweets were very detailed. She wrote: “There are reports that a child died in ICE custody in Dilley, Texas. Getting more
information as the story develops. It’s unclear where the parent(s) of the child is. Some reports indicate that they maybe in New Jersey while
child was in Texas.” She tagged Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti in the tweet.
She later provided an updated tweet, writing, “Update: The child died following her stay at an ICE Detention Center, as a result of possible
negligent care and a respiratory illness she contracted from one of the other children. The events took place in Dilley Family Detention Center
in south Texas.”
Yegani added: “A lawyer who is in touch with the family is saying the child who died, her grandmother is in New Jersey. Reporters are in
touch with her to get more details.”
Would like to see the usual suspects defend the ICE detention camps now.
Would you really, though?
This entire thing is so fucked up - it's hard to believe this is happening in developed country.
I've reconsidered this idea a long time ago. Makes it much easier to rationalize the retardation that comes out of it.
It's only a matter of time until more of those kids die in Trump's concentration camps
Saying the US is a “developed country” is just a fat fucking lie. Mass shootings, intense poverty, insane cliffs in wealth, people dying because they can’t get health care, broken and low-quality education, politicians corrupt beyond comprehension, a tinpot dictator puppeteered by Russia, and to top it off actual concentration camps.
Programmer is busy atm arguing what trump really meant with the supermakets require ID debacle.
The sad thing is, I'm surprised it even took this long.
Might have happened earlier too, just the first time we're hearing about it.
B-but guys! These concentra- I mean ICE camps are s-state of the art!
only 2 more years, fellas.
2 more long, hard years.
This is tragic. Hopefully the first will be the last.
I just hope someone doesn't come into the thread and turn it into an
argument against unions. Disrespectful
It won’t be the last. We have, at the most, 6 more years of this clown. I’ve honestly lost so much faith in the government that it’s more realistic to think he’ll get a second term than this shit stopping anytime soon. He’s committed so many impeachable offenses yet has faced zero repercussions.
The man wants his Wall, his dynasty, and no amount of the dead, children or otherwise, are going to hinder him.
Update seems to be that the child did not die in the detention facility, although it would appear the child still died? Still developing.
no see we have developed into this. Our political system has calcified into this horrible mess because of the endless parade of political "action" groups which wield outsized influence with our lawmakers. there is no deliberation in congress, no independant thought, its whatever the most powerful thinktank group of the day wants.
People are going to latch on to that technicality.
Which is sad considering kids that are returning home are mentally scarred from the ordeal.
After all this, look how little the polls have varied.

It's such an irrelevant technicality though, clearly the conditions of the internment camp caused the illness. Anyone who would think that drops liability must also think that the voyager episode where they made a hole through a black hole's event horizon with a torpedo and flew through it also makes sense.
You're talking about people who justified the woman who was killed at the nazi protest by saying she probably had a heart attack and wasnt killed by being crushed.
Fucking what. Is this real?!
"Why yes, it all makes sense! She died several microseconds before she was reamed by a psychopathic partisan in a sports car, so she really wasn't assaulted at all!"
"Why yes, it all makes sense! The child died shortly after she was released from the disease-addled camp, so she really wasn't neglected at all!"
It's really saddening how these recent times have divided people so much even the worst of atrocities doesn't really impact people's minds anymore to reconsider their stances, because for a lot of people, nowadays all that matters is as long as their side's winning and the others are losing
You're right, that's even worse than liking star trek voyager
I keep having this fantastical dream scene like from a movie play out in my head where a bunch of resistance fighters smash through the wall of a concentration camp in Nazi Germany using an armored truck, then rescuing all the trapped prisoners. Except instead of it being a Nazi Concentration Camp, it's a U.S. ICE child detention center.
The people I saw talking about it said she deserved it for being in the middle of the road at a protest with no permit to protest.
Except:
1) The road was closed to traffic for the protest, and
2) They had a permit to protest.
But those pesky details don't bother them at all.
Well, you know, child murder was the only thing other three letter agencies weren't doing, so someone had to step up to bat. Kudos to ICE for volunteering for the dirty jobs.
Redundant fucking agency get rid of it. We already have FBI and CBP to do its job and they were doing it much better.
Programmer - "I am not a Trump Supporter" 2018
The thing to remember is that gop membership is lower than it's ever been and the ones who still identify are the true die hards. The result is good approval being high despite the gop representing less of the population. 538 graph is also quite conservative iirc, in the sense that it take a couple polls to really shift it's needle.
The graph is for the 2018 elections, but didn't think about GOP membership being lower.
