So I've been playing rust for the last year, got around 1k hours but the last few week I've been crashing but I didn't really take any notice of it. the crashing got so bad it would happen every 5-10 minutes but around a week ago it wouldn't let me in a server and would crash at the loading screen, when it said large monuments around large monuments it would crash, no text to say what the error was. Also I had a problem around 3 weeks ago that I would crash and it would say something like microsoft visual c++ I tried to fix that but didn't work. Please help I've been wanting to play rust for the past week but I can't.

everyone seems to be having this crash, I do I have managed to get it around the ice lakes area/caves but it crashes there. People have said we have to wait till the nxt update (next Thursday) and hopefully its fixed

Well maybe i can help, Go into documents and into "This PC" after there you should see a Programme Files (x86) Go into "steam" then "Steam Apps" then "Common" go into the rust folder and right click rust and click "Run as administrator" This should fix your issue.

I fixed my problem by updating my gtx 1060. I forgot to update it now it runs real smooth
