So I have installed the plugin manager into my notepad++ but gmod lua lexer isn't an available plugin? And I can't find any version online that is compatable with my version of notepad++ (most recent version) please help!
I'm using this version with the latest Notepad++.
Already tried that, just comes up with this: https://puu.sh/B841p/be67a10926.png
uninstall the 64bit version and reinstall the 32bit version of NPP
That website's layout is retarded. You're clicking the wrong thing because of it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/767/0974c00c-a21f-4d48-a4ea-e0b906f22849/image.png
Yea it's a pretty dopey website, but I figured I was downloading 32bit stuff for 64bit stuff and just kept doin retarded stuff but cheers for the help!
Is it normal that it looks like this https://i.imgur.com/7lP7z7K.png with dark background?
Yes, the plugin doesn't really work with themes, so you need to edit the config and put in your colors. May I suggest you use VSCode, its just better albeit slower than NP++
I really think no one should be using Notepad++ anymore, it's a big mess and feels bad to use. VSCode is a good option. I hear good things about Atom, not sure if it has a good glua addon though. Personally I use Sublime Text, which has a glua addon maintained by the great FPtje.
I have been using NP++ in the past 5 years for coding (and even longer as a general text editor) and I don't have any problem with it, nor the need to move to another editor.
NP++ is a LOT faster to start up than VSCode which is pretty much the only reason i still use it.
Hahah nah it's not, maybe google it
