www.copsub.com/webcast Launch at 8am CEST, narrated in denglish. The Nexø II rocket is an evolution of the Nexø I that was launched in 2016 - several improvement have been made to the rocket, among these a dynamic pressure regulation (DPR) system, which will increase the performance dramatically, and a new, homemade LOX sensor to avoid the issue from the last launch. The motor is the same 5kN BPM-5 engine, but due to the DPR system, it’ll hold max thrust for much longer than last time, with the rocket going supersonic at 7200m (which is also MECO) and projected max altitude being 13000m. Copenhagen Suborbitals is a volunteer organisation trying to put an astronaut above the karman line through a crowdfunded rocket program, culminating with the upcoming Spica rocket. Nexø is a testbench for a lot of the technologies that will scale into the much larger Spica rocket, and thus the focus isn’t necessarily on breaking records, but rather on rigorous testing of subsystems and procedures. Aaaaand it’s live: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3IJTxa6iDso Launch expected in 30-60 minutes (though delays wouldn’t surprise me).
