It's not a joke
So it's overdetailed and clashes with the other visuals jfc 24 minutes for what is borderline "i cant even im shaking rn" about Mario's hair
This video is a work of art, a legendary shitpost for the ages. Thank you for posting this.
Is this some kind of meta joke about putting too much detail into something where it's not needed? It has to be, right? They wouldn't genuinely make a 24 minute long video essay on a point that could be adequately summed up in a twitter post, would they?
Satire or not the end product is completely fucking hilarious. Every about 2 minutes there's another bizzare statement, phrasing or funny use of context that makes me think "this has to be satire" though.
I was able to watch a 30 minute video essay on the Choco Mountain track in MK64 This video essay is the one where i draw the line.
Can people stop using "The Problem with" in their video titles? Seriously I've seen this phrase used way too many times for videos and it just cripples my desire to watch them. I recently watched a good video on something that used the same phrase, and it's a shame as I would have missed out in a pretty interesting topic if I didn't decide to gamble with my expectations.
Cynical video essays are a plague on youtube, I hope it goes away soon. Although seriously I do think that this one is satire.
Hell, even just using a more subjective approach like "What I think is wrong with X" is much more attractive because at least it implies being more self-aware about its own potential bias.
how insecure do you have to be to do that
Nick Robinson is a well known for ironic shitposting
yeah pretty sure this is just an elaborate shitpost/satire about video essays

https://youtu.be/munBwE-L0w8 I don't know what to think about it if it's content he produces though
I can't believe a year after getting fired for sexual harrassment from Polygon, this is what happens to a person.
It's almost as bad as something like "Mario games are quickly dying And that's a good thing "
He's well known for slidin' into dms too
I disagree, employment at polygon seems very much a terminal illness.
