The device, which was linked with a smartphone through a local wireless network, consists of a glasses-like frame equipped with a camera to record the wearer’s field of view, as well as a small screen and a speaker to give the wearer visual and audio information. As the child interacts with others, the app identifies and names their emotions through the Google Glass speaker or screen. After one to three months of regular use, parents reported that children with autism made more eye contact and related better to others. A pretty interesting use of the Google Glass if you ask me.

Cubeman! He blocked a side street so a street race could occur and recorded it with his Google Glass. Someone died. Instead of charging him as an accessory the police just asked to pull the footage from his Glass for evidence. He threw a fit about it

Because it isn't a consumer product. It's something for people with disabilities such as blindness and autism. They want people who actually need and benefit from it to have them.

Oh man don't get me started on this. TL;DR a bunch of wackjobs with Munchausen Syndrome and sister-syndromes, who believe that Big Med is poisoning their kids to give them The Autism, were forcibly giving their children peroxide enemas in the belief it would "purge them of parasites", and they would post photographs of their children's "purged parasites", which was actually determined by GI doctors to be shed intestinal lining as a result of the peroxide scalding. There were even forum posts about how they had "methods" of convincing their kids to take their "treatments" after they said that their kids became ornery/hostile because of the resultant innard pain. Turned my fucking stomach.

It makes me so mad as a person on the spectrum that Autism, of all things, is treated by these morons like the worst possible thing that could happen to your children. If the government really was interested in poisoning future generations, you'd think they'd be giving people cancer or something. It wouldn't even be that hard, since unlike with autism we've actually proven exposure to certain substances increase the chance of cancer.
