I after playing rust for two years, not nearly as much as some of my mates, how ever i felt as though I have played enough to feel that everyone is slowly becoming more and more toxic.
One thing I think we could to counteract that is to stop killing on site nakeds. There really is no point if they dont have a sash on them then they literally have nothing to fight you with but maybe a torch and rock.
Now killing nakeds and sites I say is okay, because you cant how tell anyone is juice at a site. I just dont think we need to continue killing nakeds as we do because it causes them to be just as toxic when they learn how to play, and also if people have twig foundations instead of going on a deep with any boxes and no TC because they dont know how to place the game, why not lend a hand and tell them how upgrade their foundations and things like that.
I dont know, im obviously posting this because i want other peoples opinions and feed back, so please i want to hear all responses and how others feel about the entire situation with the rust community slightly dying.
No matter how hard you try, it'll never happen. This game is too poisoned beyond saving. Best you can do is just suck it up, and deal with it.
Literally any game with loot gathering and pvp will have constant KOS. Was always an issue in dayZ, was always an issue in rust.
There was never a point where it wasn't "poisoned", and players will always be KOS'ed. You want it to stop? Be the person who doesn't do it.
I totally agree, I make a point of not attacking any player unless they attack me or (try to ) raid my base, I will warn
them off (as I play solo) but if they persist in following me thats a different story. I will trade with them so long as it
not weapon related as i have found that the more weapons they have the less friendly they get,
My first experience 4 years ago was being killed as a naked and have found that most encounters will end in death
even if you are trying to help them, it is unfortunate but "part of the game",
I also never kill sleepers, Whats the point as there is no challenge at all ?,
You can try and you could get lucky and encounter some actually friendly players, I have met a lot but most of them
have left the game for several reasons,
im not the naked, im saying your killing the potential of any future for the game, less players means less money for the devs, which means less updates, which means servers will shut down and the game could be forgot.
Its been like that from the beginning and I have not seen any reduction in updates or players, In fact the game
is now advertised this way.
Rust is a malicious experience rife with betrayal, cruelty and greed.
That can make it both frustrating and sublime in equal doses.
That is from the Steam store page.
Killed a naked yesterday. Full inventory of components and scrap. Honestly I didn't need most of it, literally gave the scrap back (modded server) and kept the springs, gears, tech trash and alike. This is to say yeah it is a bit scummy, but damn is it worth it sometimes...
