I feel it's better to keep all airsoft related questions in the airsoft thread to prevent clutter, but I'll answer your question.
It really depends on what kind of replica and loadout you want to run. Generally you want something sturdy, most people use military outfits. You want some way to carry extra magazines, there are several solutions for that. Most people wear a plate carrier with pouches, or a vest with pouches. There are also webbings like ALICE or Smersh vests. I quite like the Smersh myself.
You also need good eye protection. Don't cheap out on that unless you want to lose an eye.
In addition to all of the above, it's super important to have proper footwear.
If you're going to an outdoor/woods game you'd definitely want good boots or hiking shoes. Having high tops helps keep rocks and grass from getting in your boots which can get pretty annoying though at the expense of a little more weight and mobility.
Regular running/tennis shoes are acceptable for indoor places as everything should be relatively flat and stable. You just want to make sure you have proper traction and not slip everywhere.
The added ankle support is also extremely important, and the reason why I wore boots wherever
To be fair, this entire subforum is extremely dead
That always depends on the mission. I can respond in general and, for more specific information, find a thread dedicated to it.
Usually you will wear a uniform from your team / factions of colors. So if we take the Russian Forces as an example, you will probably use something like EMR or Flecktarn and will carry an AK. You will want to have a backpack with hydration, be it a hydration bladder, or extra water, you MUST have water. So, of course, you need your primary, secondary weapon. Possibly backups for both. Ammo, magazines, propellant (batteries, gas, CO2, HPA tank, whatever your gun needs), you will need cleaning tools in case something breaks. An exchange of socks and underwear because you'll be happy to have them. And camping supplies if you're going for a milsim at night.
Water. Lots of it
some people go all out for airsoft wars but you can wear whatever you want
I have merrell boots so I'm covered there
You will be fine. I've attended a Milsim West game on the US side and used a VFC Avalon, they're one of the most strict organizations out there in terms of weapons usage. But even they limit it to US side uses US style guns, Russian side uses Russian style guns, Civies/Militia can use whatever as long as it isn't tacticooled the fuck out.
That said, the strictness varies from event holder to event holder. There are some out that there don't even care what kind of gun you use, the only thing that matters is usually what camo you wear.
