The original story: Someone inside WMATA leaked that they were considering 3 separate train cars for the white nationalists attending the Unite the Right Charlottesville anniversary rally next weekend. The ATU (Metro workers union) said "that's not happening". DC Metro's Largest Union Refuses to Transport White Nationalists.. Washington D.C.’s metro rail system is considering providing separate trains for white nationalists attending the so-called “Unite the Right” rally next weekend, according to the Washington Post. The rally, taking place at the National Mall, will be held on the anniversary of last year’s deadly events in Charlottesville, Va. The proposal would involve providing special trains to white nationalists on August 11 and 12 that pick up at the East Falls Church Metro in Virginia and go to the Foggy Bottom station. Once there, police will escort them to the rally. Members of the Amalgamated Transit Union, Metro’s largest union, leaked the plans and stated that it refuses to accommodate the hate groups, ThinkProgress reported. “Sources have shared with ATU Local 689 that a hate group with Ku Klux Klan affiliation will be provided three private Metro rail cars and police escort to Foggy Bottom Metro Station for the ‘Unite the Right’ 2018 rally,” the union said. “More than 80% of Local 689’s membership is people of color, the very people that the Ku Klux Klan and other white nationalist groups have killed, harassed and violated. The union has declared that it will not play a role in their special accommodation.” The update: They're not doing it. D.C. Metro Drops Plan to Provide Separate Trains for White Supre.. Washington D.C.’s metro rail system chairman is walking back plans to provide white supremacists with separate trains to attend the so-called “Unite the Right” rally next weekend, the Washington Post reported. Metro Board Chairman Jack Evans had previously told local news outlets that separate trains were being considered. “We’d like to keep the groups separate. We don’t want incidents on Metro,” Evans told News4 on Friday. “Maybe put all of one group on a train or a certain car on a train,” he said. The proposed plan received pushback over the weekend from members of the Amalgamated Transit Union, who said in a statement that they would not “make these unprecedented special accommodations for a hate group.” The event has been promoted by organizers as a “white civil rights” rally. The groups that organized the rally believe in establishing a whites-only ethnostate.
A white only train... In 2018
It should lead the white supremacists to their very own secluded village, where we can give them their own badges and give them free work as well
na, if they can't get to the rally without killing someone then they probably should be in jail already.
Something something safe spaces something something snowflakes etc.
