Man caught on video setting fire at Staten Island gas station in..
NEW YORK -- Police are looking for a man seen on video starting a fire at a New York City gas station, a blaze that seriously injured another man nearby. It was reported around 2 a.m. Monday at a gas station in the borough of Staten Island.
The New York Police Department released video showing a man filling a gas can, then spraying fuel around the pump, setting a piece of paper aflame and using it to ignite the spilled fuel into a blaze that flared up around the gas pumps.
Police say the gas station's fire extinguisher system put out the flames, but a 21-year-old man suffered internal injuries. He's hospitalized in serious, but stable, condition.
Why? And he stands in it, and bends right over it as he lights it. The fuck is wrong with people?
The bystander is in serious condition after receiving internal injuries. Yikes. I can’t imagine how fucking horrifying it must be to ingest/inhale burning gasoline.
he probably inhaled fumes or smoke lmao
Florida man must be on holiday in New York
Not really funny, if he managed to breathe some flames in he could easily die due to his throat swelling shut and that would also mean he is on a ventilator if this happened. If it was just smoke inhalation they would have said so.
Inhaling fumes or smoke isn't a small deal by any means, but if he inhaled "burning gasoline" he would be dead as a doornail
Tell that to the kids who choked down Napalm-A in 'Nam and are still living to this day.
I can't view the video for some reason, but depending on how explosive the ignition was, internal injuries could be caused by the shockwave.
It wasn't explosive, just enough to surround a gas pump with flaming gasoline. No way there was a shockwave powerful enough to cause injury. There would have been property damage out the wazoo if there had.
